Hey guys, I am interested in doing some nice web videos and need to purchase a chromakey green screen so I can do some keying with my Adobe AE/Premier Pro. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to what type of screen I should purchase and also if there were any particular online merchants that have good deals/service. Thanks!

Any single color background will do really, even an inexpensive green or blue cloth (typical chromakey colors). It's been a looooooooong time since I used Premier or Final Cut Pro for that matter. Does the software handle chromakeys well, particularly around object edges, and can you set your key color/range?

Hey man, you would be amazed at the keying controls with the new premier pro and most notably, After Effects 6.5.. it's got everything from the choker to the spill supressor. I really need something professional as far as screens/stands.
Yes, you can set the key color and range. It's as easy as photoshop with an eyedropper. But you still need to have some skill in working the numbers as I say with all the keying controls and effects to get the desired outcome on a amatuer-lighted screen.

Well, the lighting is the key. A good...umm...what's it called...the light that uplights the set...foot light? Base light? It's been so damned long since I've done this stuff :emlaugh: Well, that's pretty key, balancing your lighting so the color of the chroma key is as consistent as possible. You don't want to negate someone's eyes or tie because you let it out too loose.
