![]() | View Full Version : Anyone manage to pick up a decent 1 word .US? greggish 04-25-2002, 09:54 PM Just curious if anyone managed to get lucky. The best I managed to get was JobBoard.US and JobBoards.US. MEGEX 04-25-2002, 11:07 PM While I have not registered any for myself, I see that Eskimo.us is still avaialble as of 10:58 EST. ;) :D I guess that could be a decent 1 word domain, but I certainly have no use for it. MEGEX Bullschmidt 04-25-2002, 11:12 PM I got Bullschmidt.us (although whether that is one word or two is certainly debatable) and jps.us (my initials). clemzonguy 04-26-2002, 12:55 AM For those who did not obtain a one word domain name with the .US registrations here are some for those who may want one (even if they aren't the best). Please let someone off this board that doesn't have one take them. Here are a few I came up with that are available at the time of this post before I got bored. -bucket.us -thick.us -romaine.us (like the lettuce i had for dinner) -douche.us (i'm sure any variations are also available lol) -harmless.us -whoa.us -racoon.us (most animals are probably available?) -reflectors.us -puzzlers.us -screwregistrars.us Well i got tired of thinking up stuff. There are still a lot available you just gotta think unorthodoxly. wwww 04-26-2002, 02:07 AM beet.us is still available too...a four letter and one word domain. I don't really need it, since I already have beet.info :D Bullschmidt 04-26-2002, 02:18 AM clemzonguy, Wow you've been doing some interesting lookup work! But technically wouldn't screwregistrars.us be considered a TWO word domain name? MEGEX 04-26-2002, 02:40 AM Just for the heck of it, here are a few more that are currently available: puffy.us comfy.us scavenger.us And oddly enough, mullet.us is still available. ;) MEGEX ScottD 04-26-2002, 09:35 AM racoon.usYou mean raccoon.us right? It also appears to be available. I managed to score ssl.us and resell.us via enom. Bullschmidt 04-26-2002, 11:51 AM I managed to score ssl.us and resell.us via enom. Wow! greggish 04-26-2002, 03:41 PM Originally posted by Bullschmidt Wow! I'll second that Wow... Wow! GordonH 04-27-2002, 12:18 PM I looked up half a dozen that would have been of interest to me personally and found they all belonged to a company in Israel. Strange, as they were completely unrelated to each other. Must be a speculator Gordon ToastyX 04-27-2002, 11:25 PM Originally posted by Bullschmidt Wow! I third that Wow... Wow! Anyway, maim.us is available if anyone wants to register it. ;) Oh, and ovary.us too (hey, I was bored :)) jayjay 04-27-2002, 11:38 PM belongto.us ToastyX 04-27-2002, 11:48 PM belongto is not one word jayjay 04-27-2002, 11:50 PM wellllll.. in my world it is :) Acroplex 04-28-2002, 12:30 AM You mean allyourbasearebelongto.us ? :D jayjay 04-28-2002, 12:32 AM haha no. allyourbase.belongto.us will probley be a vhost though. :) Acroplex 04-28-2002, 12:37 AM Seriously, that one is taken. jayjay 04-28-2002, 12:39 AM Yah. Hense why the vhost would come in. :) ScottD 04-28-2002, 01:07 AM It's a bloody shame they don't accept single character names. I would have loved to score: R.us (toys, kids, babys...) B.us (wanna.B.us) 2.us (go.2.us) C.us (come.C.us) etc. etc. etc... Acroplex 04-28-2002, 01:09 AM ToysRus would have come onto you like a tonn of LEGO blocks if you used anything like that :D:D:D ScottD 04-28-2002, 01:22 AM Yeah yeah, they'd probably bankrupt me in the process as well unless they bought me out. :D I imagine there would be little they could do however if you didn't use toys, kids, or babys. Something like "pets.r.us"... Oh well, it isn't happening anyways. I'll be happy with what I got and hope to develop them in the next couple of months. Acroplex 04-28-2002, 01:23 AM Hey Scott, what's the hex all about in your sig? :D ToastyX 04-28-2002, 01:57 AM Originally posted by timechange Hey Scott, what's the hex all about in your sig? :D Looks like DOS code to print out "Scott" :) I'm such a geek :D ScottD 04-28-2002, 11:28 AM TostyX! You are a geek! It is exactly what he says. From the dos prompt, run debug. At the "-" prompt enter "e 100", then paste the hex code, press enter, and at the "-" prompt type "g" (for go) and you'll see it execute. How many other people have a program as their sig? I thought it was pretty spiffy myself! |
