I am looking for a reliable windows hosting company. I am looking for a company that
1. has 24/7 tech support
2. has 99%+ uptime (and really 99%)
3. supports asp and sql server
4. is reasonably priced
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Might want to up the 99% #2 as this would equal around 7+ hours of downtime per month... Not something I would suggest.
Try searching here. Good Luck!

Stephen and Yash run a "tight" ship at Jodo. Never heard of hostingfest however.

is that meant as good or bad?

That would be a positive recommendation (tight ship)
You should inquire on their SQL Server, do they have SPLA, as they need that to be a MS SQL provider

aprogrammer, I wish you luck with whoever you choose.
You should inquire on their SQL Server, do they have SPLA, as they need that to be a MS SQL provider
You can expect any provider that uses Microsoft software for hosting to have licensed the software under SPLA (directly or indirectly). Not doing so means their software is violating Microsoft's licensing agreements. It's quite obvious and I don't think advising a client to ask if there host is licensing software legally or illegally is a good question. What do you expect as an answer?

I have advocated and used the SPLA for years even here on WHT:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=251309&page=2&highlight=SPLA

From those links one can learn exactly what the SPLA is, and why it is the way for hosting companies to buy software for hosting from MS.
In many regards it is a great program, not needing a large capital outlay for a new SQL server Standard license, etc.
I am just replying to one of the posts here, if this in inappropriate please feel free to remove.

Might want to up the 99% #2 as this would equal around 7+ hours of downtime per month... Not something I would suggest. It is a good point, though IMO most good (reputable) hosts reach 99.9% of yearly uptime. I've yet to see a host that is reputable because it maintains 99% uptime. :)

Whoever said to ask you, I said to inquire about it.
