I'm planning to move my e-commerce website to a new host and I want to do it with the least amount of downtime. I currently have the new package waiting for the website while the old hosting package is still running. I'm going to run both concurrently until the website is completely moved over and running smoothly.

I have the following:

2 MySQL Databases containing all the order, product, and user information
SSL Certificates through a 3rd party so I have the key and crt files
The actual website files and images
And of course the domain name

I was planning to just move the website over so there's an exact copy on both servers. Then I was going to have the old server redirct to the new server's IP address until the domain name resolves. I'm worried that I'm going to run into problems that I'm not anticipating. Can anyone see a problem with this method and suggest a better way?

Thanks for your time,
R
