I'm having trouble deciding between Remarkable's private server for multiple domains and diginodes VDS.
Any thoughts?
I need to host several sites that have a fair amount of php/mysql contect although the databases are not really big.
Which one should have better performance?
One negative for Remarkable is that their bandwidth is significantly less. On the other hand, they seem to provide more real server management than diginode.
Thoughts, advice, etc appreciated.

Well, Remarkable Hosting seems to have a pretty good recommendation from what I have observed on theses forums, so perhaps you might consider that.

Good luck,

Remarkable provides Ensim Web Appliance which is more powerful.

But email their sales about uptime, datacenter, backups, bandwidth provider, server types and such a things before you decide. Also read their website textts word by word.

I have migrated most of my important customers to remarkable 3 days ago but I have not enough experience yet.

Also I have not been with diginode.

Thanks so much for all the replies.
I have an account at remarkable and I'll see how that works out. Perhaps in the future I might also take up diginode on that 7 day trial and give it a spin.
Thanks.

We use both, and they are both very good and very responsive, so you cant loose with either. Note however that we have only been using them for relatively short periods of time. Lets hope that they continue to maintain their high standards of customer service.

Ensim's control panel is supposed to be better than diginode's control panel and it also is supposed to have better partitioning of server resources between the various clients on the same physical server. However we have encountered issues with tomcat stability on a ensim based server, while on the diginode VDS, the tomcat engine has worked like a charm. Hence, if you are into running java programs, go for diginode.
