I have a RAQ4 with a client looking to archive their email in some way.

Ideally all inbound and outbound mail to or from a domain would get copied to a ghost account of somesort..

It is possible sendmail could be configured to bcc all outbound emails or something?

Or is there a package available that will run on the RAQ4 to do this?

Any help gratefully received.

Regards

Christian

With inbound mail, you can add something to the system-level procmail file very easily to copy everything inbound to another user, a folder, etc.

For outbound, it's trickier. I'm not sure it can be done easily with the prebuilt sendmail. The users would also obviously need to send their mail through the RaQ and not their ISP. You need to include some kind of a milter into it that will process outgoing mail before it's actually sent.

contact Michael Stauber at solarspeed.net for help with this. He helped us do exactly this on behalf of a client several years ago.

Thank you very much for the heads up folks - greatly appreciated.

I have dropped a note to Michael as suggested.

Will keep you posted on progress.

Thanks again
