Storm911,

Whether or not it goes into the bulk mail folder would depend on quite a few things:
1. Filters they have setup
2. Filters their ISP has setup
3. Whether or not your server is on a blacklist -- and they 'compare' vs. that blacklist.

Note: spam is spam, don't do it.

David, I agree about spam, but from the OP, I assume he is sending to a legit mailing list.

You can try GroupMailFree. I've used it for years and it's very good. http://www.group-mail.com/asp/common/downloads.asp?c=15

I'm not a lawyer, but I think, first of all list memebers must be agreed to receive offers by e-mails from the list owner. Otherwise It'll be SPAM.

Not really sure why reading the OP would suggest that he doesn't have a legit opt-in mailing list.

E-Mail marketing is a very useful tool. Sadly today it has become abused, and any mail coming through thats not from a friend of client is classed as spam.

EMail marketing is a great way to advertise your product- as long as you make sure it is 100% legit. I get many emails through each day that are commerical mail, mostly from places like WebProWorld, Webhostingstuff etc etc. Most of them are really useful, and I often click thru.
However, i also get a load of junk through, which i just ignore, and swear at since its clogging up my inbox.
If your going to send mail, make sure the users will actually want to read it, because if not, it will have a negative impact on your business.

Vito,

The only reason I mentioned that is it sounds as if his older emails were going into the bulk folder of certain providers: i.e. he's blacklisted or the content matches certain filters.

With that said I didn't mean the OP was spamming! :)

with Respect for all

as i saied before it is my client list email plus some mail hit my website and request an offer as i make in my website

so that as i think they are all a legat mailing list

they are about 300-500 email and GROUPMAIL the free one make only the permission for 100

so all what i need is a software like GROUP MAIL to send for more than 500 at one time

thanks for your understanding

Storm911,

Couldn't you seperate the list into 5 pieces and send it 5 times? (1 time to each list?)

hmm, email marketing is also sometimes called.. spam!

Whether its solicited or not its still deleted without being read.

You've precisely hit on the essense of it.
A lot of commerical mail is NOT spam. Email marketing has just got a bad name because its got so many spammers in it.

I disagree that it won't be read. If the email is from someone that i trust, or know about, i will read it. As i said in an earlier thread, i read lots of commerical email, just as long as its from someone that i trust.

EMail marketing can be a very powerful tool if used properlly.

Firstly, don't annoy people. If you send them something that they are obviously not interested in they will delete it.
Email marketing is a fantastic way to keep in touch with your clients, since it is unlikely someone will remember your site unless you email them.
Most people check their mail every day, and if they read your email, there is a good chance they will click on it, and come to your site.
If someone is not specifically looking for your product, it may be difficult for them to find you- so the only way they will know your product exists is if you tell them.

Please don't make the same mistake as most people do- Email Marketing does not equal spam.
If you have a legitimate list, or have got a legitimate list from someone that you are allowed to access, then it's NOT spam.
I read all my emails that are related to computing/internet as long as they intrest me.
I get a comerical mailing from Dell every few weeks. I stop and check their offers. Is that spam? No- i've bought a computer from them before, so i am intrested in their offers. Dell obviously find it a very effective means of communicating with their customers. I would never visit Dells website if they didn't email me- its the exact reason i bought my laptop from them- they had a special on.
I also get lots of mailings from Rackspace. Never used their services, but it still interests me because they are in the same industry as me.

I bet you are signed up to many mailing lists that you don't class as spam, but the next person would. I think that is the key thing here- what is spam to one person, is a legit email to another.

If you are going to create a mailing list from your contacts, make sure that these contacts have agreed to receive THIS TYPE of mailing from you. Many well-meaning people create lists from the addresses of everyone who have emailed them in or purchased something from them in the last year or so. This is a very grey area and, depending on how your ISP views it, could get you into trouble. I get about 200 emails per day, but if I started compiling a mailing list from those contacts and started sending them hosting offers...I would be spamming.

I offer a low volume newsletter on my site, so I end up with an opt in list. Obviously, that is the safest way to go. No grey areas there. But as already mentioned, you shouldn't compile your list with addresses simply because you've had some form of communication in the past. You will definitely get many people objecting to receiving your mailings.

I think you can decide what it is you want to accomplish with from those newsletters and accordingly you can pick up that and read the portion of your business interest only.
