Is it good or bad? The host will host more than one domain. All the other host i've used where IP based.

most use name based.......
it is where many domains share the same IP address......it is not bad.........

Name based Hosting is same as IP based hosting :D with
most similar functions and features, the only difference is you cannot get your own SSL cetificate on name based hosting, but most hosts have shared SSL which works exactly like your own SSL (costs $99+ /yr) , and ofcourse shared SSL is free usually.

Besides that I do not see much difference.

If you can, get name based hosting. Most hosting account doesn't need ip address, unless you are using SSL. IP address availability is decreasing everyday. :)
