Hi,

I'm looking for a vbulletin host. I signed up with www.greenlighthosting.com. At first, they were great, with nice help and all, but after about a month of service, things went downhill. Customer support is non-existent, and when I try calling them I get a message of "The SprintPCS service that you are trying to reach is temporarily out of service". PCS? I've tried e-mailing them, to no avail. My site has been down for 3 days now, and it's time to move on.

I'm looking for a new host that will host a vbulletin, with about 100-150 users online at the same time during peak hours. I have a seperate host for my web page files, so I strictly need a vbulletin host. No advanced/fancy features are needed.

- 50-100 megs space.
- 10 gigs bandwidth
- 5-15 dollars a month.

Any suggestions? I signed up with myacen.com two months ago, but right when I signed up, they started having problems. I'm thinking about signing up with them again. Unless, you guys have suggestions for a better service. Thanks!

Also, instant setup (or a few hours) would be great too ;)

Have you considered a dedicated or semi-dedicated server? With 150 users online at a single time, even though vBulletin rocks, it would still use a tremendous amount of server resources, much more than usually allocated for a single account on a shared webserver.

Just a quick suggestion,
Shawn

I think there is only one host suitable for you. F5Hosting.com. Their support is good and you definately dont have to worry about ONLINE USERS.

There are many happy VB users there and you can search for their comments in VB forum and F5 forum.

Actually, for shared hosting, it's still allright having 150 users online on VB. On semi-dedicated server, 500-700 VB users online will still be allright. But then, you need to carefully tune your MySQL/Apache.

Still, 5 - 15 dollars a month for what is being asked is a bit unrealistic considering the amount of other accounts that would be using resources also. Why not try a VDS type host and pay a little more for your account for the ability to have a busier board.
