not sure where to post this, but i hope this is the rigth place. I have an offer for domain sale where seller says that his web site/domain makes over 1000 uniques IPs per day. Hi is willing to give me a screen shot of web site with the statistic. But, since i work as an web designer I know very well what you can do with picture and simulate all kind of things and make that screen shot to show me statistic.
Is there any other way or piece of software for me I can use and check out if he is really making that much of traffic per day???

and I can check out domains or monitor domains that not belongs to me!?

Have you tried alexa stats? If it's as big as he says it is, it should be listed there. But no, you can't monitor stats for a site that don't belong to you - I'm just saying there are many programs he can use. Tell him to install some and give you screenshots.

you could allways ask the isp that hosts it?
They might tell you if you tell them the story
Its worth a try

When buying a traffic name form someone I don't know I simply ask to login to the stats.
It is easy and the owner can set up a temporary username and password for you and then change it after you have viewed them.

If the price is not enough for the seller to go through all that trouble than ask for a bunch of screens.
Assuming it is cpanel then ask for the webalizer stats.
Ask for a: Image of the opening screen (will show the domain name at the top left corner)
Ask for a screen of each of the other headings.
[Daily Statistics] [Hourly Statistics] [URLs] [Entry] [Exit] [Sites] [Referrers] [Search] [Agents] [Countries]

It wont take long for the seller to do this and it would take a lot of time for the seller to change all of the information without it being noticable. For instance if the seller changes the referrers numbers you will see it elsewhere. If the seller changes the daily numbers the monthly wont add up etc.
