There is a certain domain name I want to purchase that is expiring soon. Right now it's beeing sold on one of those domain selling sites, that sell it for a ridiculous amount of money.

Has anyone ever tried backordering a domain name? Is it worth it? I want to nab it once it expires.

When you back order a domain, you are doing it along with many many many other folks that want the same domain. I don't believe it is worth it and it is not guaranteed.

Never guaranteed and usually ends up going to a auction, use pool.com though if you try as it's the best!

If it's being sold at ridiculous amount of money now, what makes you think it never will be extended by the current owner???
