I have been working in the web hosting/dedicated server/colocation business for a few years now and after seeing how much companies have charged for the very same work that I do, I figured it was time to start doing this on my own... period.

I have a pretty wide range of experience and am open to discuss just about anything. I will ONLY take on work that I am 100% confident in my ability to do the absolute best at... and will let you know otherwise. I mean I'm always open to trying new things... but I'm sure you'd rather I (or anyone else for that matter) practice on my (their) own time.

Generally, I charge a flat rate of $40/hr (which is less than half of what many companies charge for professional services... at least the ones I have worked for) and most often round down not up on time. Being that I have experience working for a hosting/server/colo company I understand the importance of data security/privacy and the like, and always am mindful in this regard when helping my customers.

My skill set is very diverse and I have worked with every major operating system from Solaris (worked for Sun Microsystems for approximately 3 years), to Windows, to Linux, to BSD. Sorry Mac users! I am most familiar with Solaris, Redhat/Fedora, Debian, and Windows or at least you could say those are my OSs of choice. Additionally I have experience using the following software/technology to name some:

Postfix, Nagios, Apache, MySQL, Java (do a bit of programming), phpBB2, Zen Cart, Bind, Scripting, Cisco, etc...

Please do contact me alias_willsmith@onezerohosting.com if you think you might like to use my services. Thank you.
