Handy Networks LLC is now accepting resumes for a full-time Windows Systems Administrator position. The ideal candidate for this position will work well independently, have excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, and will write and speak English fluently. We will consider applicants from any geographic region, so long as you can satisfy the job requirements and have dedicated high speed Internet access and reliable telephone service. All applicants must be 21 or older.
Job responsibilities:
A successful applicant will be responsible for troubleshooting complex Tier 2-3+ ticketsand documenting procedures for Tier 1 support. You will be interacting with customers via our helpdesk, email, live chat, and phone.
Requirements:
• 1+ years of Windows 2000 / Windows 2003 Server administration in a shared, reseller, and dedicated server hosted environment. Specifically, you must have experience with administering and troubleshooting issues related to IIS 5/6 (WWW / FTP / SMTP), ASP.NET, ASP, FrontPage Server Extensions, ODBC DSNs, OLEDB, NTFS Permissions, and SSL certificates.
• 1+ years experience with DNS, as it relates to properly configuring primary and secondary DNS zones, both forward and reverse, DNS delegation, troubleshooting and resolving.
• 1+ years of working with SMTP, specifically experience with examining SMTP log files to detect and resolve mail delivery issues, blacklisting issues, and reverse DNS issues.
• 1+ years of working in a fast-paced, web hosting helpdesk environment where the average ticket resolution time is measured in minutes / hours, not days.
• 1+ years of Helm experience, related to it’s day-to-day operation and being able to troubleshoot complex Helm issues and be able to decipher and understand Helm’s error logs.
Hours: Hours will be during normal business hours, Mountain Standard Time. Additionally, you will be required to pickup 4 hours per weekend, every other weekend. This is not an on-call after-hours position, except in rare circumstances.
