View Full Version : Affordable Reseller
Shock Hosts 12-01-2005, 04:40 PM Hello,
I have been looking at hostgator.com, resellerzoom.com and ALOT more...
There prices are too expensive... For example, hostgator sells 5GB space
for 24.95 p/m..... That would mean I would have to sell 5GB of space for
24.95.... And with those prices I doubt anyone would buy it...
I am looking for a cheaper reseller host, that still has good uptime and good support.
Website Rob 12-01-2005, 05:10 PM Are you just getting into Reselling?
The reason I ask is because most Hosters provide Bulk accounts. For example, you get 5 GB of Web space and slice it up the way you want.
If a Hoster provides the Allocated Method
- you can sell 5 accounts with 1 GB ea. of Web space
If a Hoster provides the Actual Use Method
- you can sell 5 or more accounts with 1 GB ea. of Web space
Actual Use Method goes by what is actually used. If you have 10 accounts with 1 GB ea. of Web space but they "actually" are using 3 GB, you still have 2 GB left over to use.
Many variables involved with Reseller accounts and best to first figure out, what your Business plan will be; how much each package sells for, features they get, etc.

Welcome to the real world mate, cheap and good doesn't come together. You don't want to work for nothing, no one else does :P
mpoulsen 12-02-2005, 11:36 AM Yeah, I have to agree... If you find the resellerzoom.com 2GB plan at $4.95 too expensive, then I think you will have serious problems finding any good hosting company...
Shock Hosts 12-02-2005, 05:48 PM That plan isn't for web hosts..
mpoulsen 12-02-2005, 06:00 PM Sure it is - it is a reseller plan for small web hosts...
enicola 12-02-2005, 06:14 PM FlamingHost, I see your site is selling 8GB space and 200GB bandwidth for 3.99 a month for shared and a whopping 25GB and 700GB for resller for 19/month, how are you making money on this? Are you new to web hosting business?
mpoulsen 12-02-2005, 06:36 PM No, that's an ad trick... The real price list is here... http://flaming-host.com/virtual.html
Shock Hosts 12-02-2005, 07:31 PM lol... :) What mpoulsen said. :)
Click on the pictures for package pages... And it says "Up To".. before the space and bandwidth...
And then "From" on the price
webair-gene 12-02-2005, 07:38 PM good job ;)
I like the site by the way.

I'm curious, why buy from them when you sell space for much cheaper on your own site?

"You can have cheap, fast, and good. Pick any two."

That is what I am talking about..... I used to have a dedicated server which allowed me to sell that cheap.... But now I don't, I need to be able to have access to cheap reseller package(s).
