I checked past stats and found that your account overloads the server because it is very popular. So, the server proceeds requests to your site only. Apache status shows the same thing. A half of all requests is directed to your site. So if a site get popular it should be suspended, because making money is bad I also have 5 accounts with ultra unix and an account with worry free web hosting cartika-andrew 12-01-2005, 04:39 PM I need cpanel/whm, accepts paypal, and will install modules www.digitallyjustified.com www.monsterhosting.ca they are certainly more expensive then the hosts youre currently using. However, I would provide them some specifics around your scripts and any data provided by your previous hosts. Its possible your problem is simply related to overselling - however, its also possible you have a problem script there.... Website Rob 12-01-2005, 05:03 PM It is not uncommon for someone to have a 'problem account' with Hoster, switch to another Hoster and have no problems at all. Between Server Hardware and setup, many things can make a difference. Not saying that is the case here and you should definitely mention your situation to any potential Hoster. Might as well find out upfront, if there could be any problems. With that said, are you looking for a Reseller or Shared Hosting account? The quote from Midphase gives the impression you have one account that is very busy. benjmain77 12-01-2005, 06:44 PM I will not buy a shared hosting account again, the when the one I had with hostgater was suspended for a bad script , the other 17 add on domains on the account went with it I have only had one problem with any script before this week, and that was due to way over usage of mysql, I built this rss monstroity that got like 100.000 pages indexed by google, which in turn dumped like 3 gigs into mysql. Since modifyed the script so that it runs off text files and I havn't had a complaint since. I had a shared with midphase which I upgraded and added 5 or 6 database sites to it, the next day it was suspended with no notification or explanation. This reseller zoom seems good so far, but will check these ones out mpoulsen 12-02-2005, 11:45 AM the one I had with hostgater was suspended for a bad script ..., Perhaps you should consider a VPS. With that, you wouldn't get suspended for bad scripts, popular sites, etc... If you don't want a VPS, then it could be a good idea to check with a new host what happens if you accidently run a bad script etc. Some suspend and evict while others are willing to reopen the account if you promise not to use the script again. CartHost 12-02-2005, 11:47 AM Can you define bad script? I can't believe my eye's. Is that not why you have plan alotments? Or did you get scammed with the unlimited feature heheh Pathetic billbellhockey 12-03-2005, 01:25 PM Many hosts are like that, they offer these plans but if you have a domain that causes issues they will shut down the domain and/or your entire plan. |
