does anybody know anything about them? Good, bad, ugly...whatever. I think I'm about to go with them next month if I don't find something better (or I don't hear anything too bad about them).

:D Thanks.

I always gotta wonder about hosts with AOL email addresses... and a post office box for a headquarters.

also be aware of hosts that offer free Ginsu Knifes

The AOL address is really weird (can't you have your own ?.. but the POBOX is a major NO factor)

I gotta go with Carlos on that.

Any host that does NOT offer free Ginsu Knives cannot be any good.

What if they offered free Cutco knives? Those things are pretty cool. Expensive but they last forever (it's even in the warranty.)

hmm.. on the more serious note. I think you should be careful with this one. They are relatively new to. Considering when the domain was created. I havent checked the site out. Try calling them, or try there email support. That would be a good way to test them out.

For registration purposes, the owner of the site used his ISP's mail address, very common. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about what's in the domain record. I would however make sure that their actual info is clearly posted on the site. If this information is absent, then I'd pass.

That's exactly what worries me most. You wanna host with someone who actually uses AOL?

LOL, yeah well there's *that* factor I suppose. If you think about it, you really have to be quite intelligent to use AOL. I just signed up a buddy of mine and to get netzero, I used a free AOL disk and lemme tell ya... not the easiest to use, and I wonder why it's #1! Lots of windows and boxes and announcements and advertisements. Really annoying.

Thats why they are #1. Its like Microsoft in the ISP business :) Very very good marketing.

Yeah, well all that's fine *before* you sign up, but once you do it is a nightmare to try to navigate. They seem to have their own system of windows where windows can hide other ones without you being able to tell there are ones hidden. If you minimize the wondow you are in, you can see others at the bottom, but IMHO it isn't very easy for the first time user and I wouldn't recommend the pain upon anyone.

hehe.. oh ok.. I'm glad I never have to use them :D

Count your blessings, Kunal. In my country, people say using AOL is like having sex with your socks on.

and your point being ???

(I live in MA .. it's snowing and cold out .. I live the socks on sometimes)

I think it depends just where you wear your socks.

This is sage counsel, Kunal; especially in this day and age. That is what the socks are for.

Aiyeee! Aiyeee! I have sinned and transgressed and done terrible things!

I am filled with an abject, hopeless shamefulness.

I apologize.

Please do not send the CDS after me. I have many goats to look after, and also some children.

You are given a second chance. May it never happen again, or you will have to face the CDS!

Nam, its just one of etLux's new obsesions. The other one bieng flatulence [right spelling?].

Please note, however, that I do not obsess over both at the same time; due to the obvious personal dangers.

An intriguing doubt...
Is AOL available in Moldavia?

Kunal,
You spelled "flatulence" right but "being" wrongly.

Now, someone was talking about cleaning the board, I guess.

Now, Kunal... watch supermops as seen on telebrands.

Wing.

Listed as @AOL.COM is a bad move, means they are using a dialup and doesnt do much stuff, not a good start...

Go somewhere else ;)

Everything that has to do with my hosting business is run through a PO BOX. I can't tell you how full of junk that thing gets with advertisements from other webhosts + people trying to sell me dedicated servers.
