Hi, recently I've been thinkign about how to maximize your revenue by advertising, and I noticed that there aren't too many good advertisers out there. What I'm specifically looking for is pay per click because there are many people that click the link but dont necessarily purchase anything. Another thing I noticed is that people are easily being targeted by their weaknesses: IE: these adult friend finders. It shows a nice woman in a lingerine on the cover and says you can find people for one night if you create an account there. These ads are appearing all over the place, but wouldn't they really only be good for Adult sites? As not everybody that visits your Programming or info Site needs to badly have an overnight company.

So what my question is, what would be the best ads (that do not cheat you) of any category?

I thought about them but I heard too many things lately on this board, so I'm not sure anymore.

Adsence is crap. I followed every rule, then I got suspended. Twice.

I've signed up for Yahoo Publishers, and I'm waiting to be activated.

Screw pay per click, you can get much more from private advertisers :)

If you want to advertise your site, I would recommend Yahoo! Search Marketing

If you are looking to make money off your site, I would recommend Google Adsense or AdBrite.com

Miva also has a program like Adsense, and I find it very useful--more targeting content listings than Google Adsense.

I use Miva ad Google PPC for my site advertising.
I have approximately 50 visitors from miva and 50 from goolge daily but sales only from google visitors.
I think it’s because google use search results pages advertising but Miva shows the impressions and clicks that my ad receives on content sites.
So only Search engine PPC advertising was effective.
