for whatever reason registerfly won't change the DNS. I tried twice in a month, and both times the system said it was changing but didn't.

I opened a trouble ticket on May 14th, describing the problem and listing the new domain name servers and IP addresses I wanted changed to, and here TEN DAYS LATER NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!

does anyone else have problems with registerfly? Is there another cheap register out there that actually GIVES A DAMN about customer service?

that depends on what you mean by cheap. Directnic.com has always handled my (non_nameserver) stuff wonderfully, with a minimum of downtime. All for 15 per year.

Yes, all of us at RegisterFly who have ever tried to use support know where you are coming from...and that live chat support is such a joke, I would love to know where they hire these people, anytime you have a question, they respond with "Please send in a trouble ticket", what the heck is the point of having live assistance if they are all too dumb to answer or take care of simple problems?.........I am moving all my domains to GoDaddy whenever I can find the time....

Anyway, when you change your DNS settings for a domain, I assume you are changing them to a hosting provider, make sure you don't change anything else after you reset them, like don't try to use forwarding, e-mail services, etc because RF will automatically reset your nameservers back to theirs.

Don't know if this will help, but it might :)

I have had nothing but problems from RegisterFly.com.

1st. with their reseller domain program. No comissions to me have been paid.

2nd. they wouldnt let me transfer my domains from them.

3rd. they 'accidently' expired some of my clients domain names (we paid for them). They answered our support tickets rarely and sooner or later, somehow someone else registered the domain name.

4th. they never refunded my money for the 'expired' domain names.

So they have my money, they let someone steal other peoples domain names, which is going to take a long time to get back. Overall, I dont trust them.

You shuld move your domain to somewhere else.

In the past I have found RegisterFly to be a pain too, but now they have that 24/7 live suppport, and things have been much better, you might want to try that.

I still don't like it  I'll be going with Network Solutions for my main domain names and GoDaddy or Stargate for my off-topic domains.

I just moved 11 domains from Registerfly because I could never get a response from them. Make sure that you have the enom "register lock" removed. You have to either go to Registerfly's support (that's right... the ones that never return your email) or go directly to enom and tell them your problem. Tell them that you want the register lock removed so that you can move (that is how I did it).

I moved all of my domains to 000domains.com for $13.50 each. A little more money but their support will give you answers to your questions in a couple of hours. Highly recommend them.

Registerfly is a scam. It used to be good, now it looks like all their staff has retired. As a matter of fact I have a letter from the BBB sitting here right on my desk. I just have to fill it out and send it off.

Our Reseller commissions were not paid either.

A/Web Site is soooooooo sloooooooow its unreal
B/Terrible design of a web site as well especially the control panel - dont try and go back a page too often!
C/Dont bother reopening a trouble ticket ,you have no chance of ever getting a response to it - ive had one open for the last 2 weeks
D/Live support are total idiots - "email Diana she will get it sorted out" - 1 week later nothing from Diana what a surprise eh - total jokers basically.

It took me a few weeks to figure out all this so save yourself the bother.I always like to give people a chance and people will miss the odd trouble ticket etc but trust me on this one the message is very clear for me now.

Supercrap!

I about fell out of my chair reading your post, I just found it so funny, I don't know if you read my ealier post, but that is the same thing they always tell me, "Please e-mail Diana and she will get it fixed", that must be stored into their live chat program...lol

That's the only response they give to any problem....

People, please take our warnings and stay far way from RegisterFly, they have mad me so  at times that all I wanted to do was :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:
