yeah uh....i'm looking for a cheap ded. webhost I need it to be under $150 and atleast 40GB hd space and over 200GB transfer(i have alot of people that visit my site)...

Some people on the board absolutely hate them. But i like them alot. Out of all of there customers, only a small majority are not satisfyed.

most plans come with 400GB traffic, and 40GB disk space. for under $150 a month.

They also have a pentium 4 plan with 600GB traffic, 2x60gb drives, and $130 a month.

I honestly hope that this is some sick joke, because if you do a search on this board and many other hosting related boards, you will find that ***** is terrible. As for my recommendations I recommend www.webreseller.net and www.eservers.biz as well as www.Rackshack.net for your budget.

hey iem, no problem I know that you are genuine in your recommendation but I personally know many people who have been bith displeased and irate with the level of service that ***** offers their clients. Now if you had a good experience with them then that is great, but there are many here who have not. Take a look for yourself

i take you word for it. the few times that i have used this forum for research, i too believe the majority of what i read. from what i can tell, we little guys are just looking for a few basic things: reliable uptime info we can base decisions on, above average support when needed and a fair price.

one topic i'm trying to research here is why the dedicated/managed servers with cpanel appear to cost more than those with ensim (sp) or am i missing something very obvious with this one.

i really like the look and feel of cpanel and what seems to be an easy to learn and use system.

are the only sub-$150 i know about that do not have bad reps. i would like to know more.

but yeah. *****. whew. i think my first week on WHT i read about 50 bad ***** posts.

We use Server Host (http://www.serverhost.com) and have been quite happy with them. Downtime is almost nil, and we have been very happy with the network speed.
I know they *were* running some pretty cheap deals. Don't know if they still are or not, though.

You have a total of 5 posts...you just joined....and you are making recommendations because you were on someones site and saw dedicated servers....

You shouldn't recommend for or against something about which you have no knowledge. There are literally hundreds of sites which have dedicated servers, but some are good, some are bad.

Please only recommend that about which you have first hand knowledge...how would you like it if you followed a recommendation of someone who made it without really knowing what they were talking about?
