Wondering why there isn't a simple hardware forum. It seems that about 5% of post on the first 4 or 5 forums are about hardware and hardware setups. Wouldn't it make sense to have a forum just to deal with these issue?

What do you think?

No,

I personally think the 'dedicated' forum is sufficient for most needs.
The majority of 'subforums' get absolutely no use whatsoever.

All that ends up happening is moderators have to play thread-tennis and knock tickets into different subforums -- wasting even more time! ;)

I think the current WHT setup is perfect (although I wish gettogethers didn't have it's own seperate subforum!)

If WHT launches a Hardware forum, then a slowdown in iNet's own www.ocforums.com growth might appear. If one is interested in the subject more than hosting, why not take part in that community?

I also agree with David that WHT has enough forums to cover hardware issues (hosting related) well.

Best,

http://www.ocforums.com/ looks good to discuss about hardware related queries.

Server Hardware: Use the colocation forum :)
Server hardware falls under colocation, and we really don't need another forum to browse through. Also, I'd prefer to see a hardware-related thread that might be interesting rather than the same old "This company SUCKS!!!!! They screwed me!!!" every day.
