I would like to know where most of you guys advertise to. I know of web hosting directorys, search engines ect. Is any more advertising than that needed to be succesfull?

submitting your web site to search engines and when you get listed there helps a bit too ;)

Search Engines (e.g. Google.)
Advertising Networks
Hosting Directories
PCC Search Engines
Etc...

I like to use the little known up-and-coming pay per clicks. Bid on 'web hosting' or 'hosting' as those are the only keywords likely to get searched on with any frequency with some of these smaller players. Some of them actually work pretty good and are much cheaper than Overture, etc.
