This massacre was perpetrated during the WWI, by the Young Turk Government.
The U.S. government is yet to accept the Armenian Genocide, however 31 states have recognized it as the first genocide of the century. Before President Bush became President, during his campaign that if elected President, he would make sure that Armenian Genocide be recognized. However, when time came, he decided not to fulfill his promise, because of the U.S. ties with Turkey. Even though the U.S. has yet to recognize the Armenian Genocide, numerous countries have and will continue to do so.

Not to make light of this very serious issue, but what oldtime internet memories a discussion of this issue brings back... does anyone here today know anything about Serdar Argic, and the Zumabot? You really don't have a full grasp of net culture if you don't know those stories!

I grew up in Glendale. CA so you know where I am coming from.
I fell in love with 3 different Armenian chicks...I got dissed all three times though. I heard that Armenian families don;t like their daughters hooking up with non-Armenians.

I'm assuming all Americans are nice good people. You know what generalizing is? Because you are generalizing. You haven't seen/talked to all of the over 6 million Armenian people in the world.
