Is a .org worth it if the .com and .net are both taken by squaters?

I'd check the copyrights first. Also I'd only use a .org if your site is an organization or a not-for profit or something like that. I would never make a business a .org.

you mean $7 - $8 yearly fee? sure...

after .com and .net you may want to try something that fits the extention! most times the .info fits better than a .org and a .biz is used more than a .org now for business domains.

definitely worth the $7-8 registration if it's a good domain, but again if you want something for business, .org is not the direction to go :)

Personally, I hate the 'look' of the extension. Just appears to 'look' like some kind of charity, I suppose though that is due to our .org.uk extension we have over here in the UK. I have no .org's... BUT I do have a single name .org.uk BUT it is held simply because it is a cracking 3 letter domain with great potential. I had a second 3 letter name, but have let it expire and is just about to drop.

I got a domain that is techsite.org , it worths the registration fee just becouse it is in .org extension , if it was in .com , it would be worth in thousands!

orgs are fine imo...

I've registered a few that were perfect for an 'organization' type name, website, business, whatever.

Value is in the eye of the beyolder.

I have the .com.au extension and the .org pointing to it as well

I think its well worth the reg fee
How much well.... if it brings 1 extra small piece of business to your door it was worth it
