Hi

What do most providers do when your server gets dos'ed?

DO they even help you? or do most places just cut you off and tell you good bye?

Can anyone share any experiences with what your colo or ded server provider has done to help you prevent attacks, or just help you period

Did they give you new ips? or did theya ctually help you with firewalling

And if you dont mind please state the name of the place too

i know sprint has an ip filtering system if you own the ips from them, you can go to their site and ask them to put filtering on those ips for i think 5 mins, might be more, but you can't really totally prevent a ddos. a firewall will help, until they do the traceroute and start hitting the lines comming in. don't say i haven't seen it, i have. and it renders the whole network useless which sucks :D
