Does anybody know anything interesting about http://www.atomhost.com ?

There packages look really good - you know good but not too good to be true, just wondered if anyone has any experience with them?

Thanks,

Ben

Worthless, dude....yeah, they *looked* good, however, they are TOTALLY disorganized...you can never raise anyone for support *live*, and their support pages are next to worthless so you'll need to contact them eventually. Plus, they supposedly have hidden charges for extra bandwidth; they disabled my account for going over the bandwidth limit TWICE, even though after it happened the first time, they told me they would warn me ahead of time if it happened again. Then they told me that no, they actually didn't have an additional charge for extra bandwidth, the bandwith limit was set, and they were cancelling my account. This was AGAIN without warning. After spending three weeks uploading files and installing scripts, they gave me two DAYS to get my stuff out.

Long story short - look somewhere else for a good host -- try doing a search at http://www.hostindex.com for similar features to ATOM.

Dear Batjen,

We do not hide bandwidth charges, at all.

We have a policy to which you have agreed when you signed up: https://host.125i.com/atomhost/policy.htm

It clearly states bandwidth cost.

I will not discuss this any further in public, there is a longer story to this.

If you would like, contact me directly at bogdan@globiqnetworks.com

I think the issue requires a public discussion -the public have a right to know. Serious allegations have been made, if you cannot rebutt them it means they are true.

Actually I prefer the method of people contacting him directly, I dont feel like listening to him and his former customer fight back and forth about whos telling the truth.

Well, I feel that I have no right to fight with a customer no matter what happened, and I never actually did.

If you want, you can also contact me directly: bogdan@globiqnetworks.com, if you feel that you should be a part of this. :-)

What ar eyou talking about, I was on your side, I never said you fought with him, I just told the guy who said you should discuss in a public forum that its not such a good idea as they always turn into bickering matches.... JEEZ thats the last time I stick up for anyone :)

E-mail the host first and try to get it resolved amicably - 80% of the time this will happen and you can then both move on. And you can still post about your experiences.

It's only when the host has absolutely no response or you are completely dissatisfied that you should alert the 'rest of the world' about it ;)
