Due to recent downtimes at Aletia, I am seriously considering hostculture.com. Anyone has any experience with them?

Uptime is also good (just see 1 or 2 each month in a short time) . However, the speed is not very fast as I thought (but still ok). Right now, I'm satisfied with them . Akash 04-23-2002, 03:12 PM Also to note that both Jorge(Jedito) and Aron(RelyC), the admins/owners of HostCulture are well known members here - I find in their posts that they are very helpful. I can also say that I have direct (but rather short) experience with HostCulture and had found them to be suitable :) xharine 04-23-2002, 07:42 PM Maybe you can also consider http://www.zeonhost.com Pricing and features look great, and I haven't heard anything bad about them so far. tensixteen64 04-24-2002, 06:44 PM I left Aletia and went to www.insiderhosting.com and I have nothing but good things to say about them! The support tech was on icq with me for over an hour answering my questions before I even signed up! I'm moving my last domain with Aletia to them this next month and I cannot wait! :) Sara pearhost 04-25-2002, 08:11 PM Aletia is not that bad! TrishM 04-25-2002, 09:06 PM Have you checked their forums lately? I mean their announcements and downtime forums tell you everything you need to know. If you need more, check out responses of people not getting support requested. I sent in a support ticket on Monday to close my account (I moved to www.alwayswebhosting.com), I got a quick response of "your account has been suspended" and nothing else. Now I paid my fee for the year - I supplied my receipt and requested a US money order as I will not supply them with my banking info so they can do a transfer into my account as I wont pay my banks fee to do so. So I updated the ticket the following day - no response as of yet. I'm glad I got out, servers are constantly going down, MYSQL is constantly not working, they've recently replaced two servers and have been overloading others. So no, they aren't bad - they are worse than that. Just my two cents. Trish Relyc 04-26-2002, 03:22 PM Well I can't say a lot since advertising is not allowed, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask (email/icq/aim whichever you prefer) :) tensixteen64 04-26-2002, 04:45 PM Trish, I have moved 3 of 4 domains from Aletia and I still have my same ticket open. They have yet to close it. Since one of their customer support team was the last person to write on the ticket, you would think that they would have closed it! I have one more domain to move and then I will be done with them. I cannot understand how they went from wonderful to awful in less than a year. Have you gone to Pay Systems.com and cancelled your account that way? :) Sara ALS 04-26-2002, 06:14 PM Try MCHost......or looking into them. Acroplex 04-26-2002, 07:58 PM I haven't moved out of Aletia - yet. But for a new web site project I chose http://www.Paradise-Designs.com I have nothing but praises for them! :D Snakebite 04-27-2002, 02:17 PM Originally posted by pearhost Aletia is not that bad! are you kidding me??? http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=353899&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending |
