Check out http://www.revecom.com .

They support many currencies. But I am not sure if they support irish pounds.

So you better check it out yourself.

Donovan,

Have you actually used Revecom?

I'm based in Australia, and am looking for a billing solution that handles everything from collection to processing and payment (so that I don't need a separate merchant account). Revecom look as though they would fit the bill nicely, but I haven't heard from anyone who actually uses them.

If you search for that word, you'll find some people who use them on this board and you can post/contact them as well as read the things they have written already. There have been a few threads...

(Search is in the top right corner)

Czar,

I use them, and am in Australia too. Never had a problem with them at all. Haven't found anything better locally that's for sure.

Thanks Greg,

Revecom's looking better all the time. Sure beats the hassle of trying to convince sceptical bank managers that it is possible to make a profit in web hosting.

I'll try them out.

Czar,

*lol* I rang the 1800 number for Bank Of Queensland a while ago to look into a net merchant account. The first thing the guy on the phone said was, "Uh-Oh". When I asked what that meant he said, "You mentioned the 'I' word" After that it was just filling in the dots till we decided I didn't want to bother trying to get one through them.

So far the checks are being sent straight away (or at worst a few days after the billing period ends).

Kunal,

I received my check from Revecom yesterday. They state that checks are payed on 15th and the last day of the month. It took seven days to get my first check. This was by snail mail. So far, I have not complaints. They saved me from a fraudulent charge once already. I had somebody place an order with a cc that had a billing address in Arizona but the IP captured from the computer placing the order was in Sweden. They placed the order on hold and tried to verify it. They asked me to contact the person that ordered. I tried with no response. So the order was voided. I still had to pay the $1 transaction fee, but it is worth that for good fraud prevention. I am pleased with revecom so far.

For the australians amongst us,

How much were you charged by the bank to clear your cheque from revecom when you cashed it in?

Bank Of Queensland charges me $5(AU) to process the check. I have a good relationship with the girls at the bank so the funds are available immediately.

Julian,

You'll have to shop around for the best deal here. I think Westpac and some of the other biggies charge a ridiculous $35, or thereabouts, to clear a foreign cheque. That, and you have to wait for several weeks before gaining access to the funds.

I use Suncorp-Metway, who only charge $5. If you receive a large quantity of foreign cheques (ie, if they are your main source of income), you may even be able to negotiate a lower rate, or a faster clearance time (if you're reaalllyy nice to the bank manager, that is ;))

the "Big 4" banks strike again huh?

That's a ghasty amount of money to spend to have a check cleared... With the amount of checks I get from difference sources I'd be broke in a week! *lol*

If you need the cash faster you can have them wire it to your business account, but it's $35(US) I think. Pretty steep. Still depending on your check size they send them either once a month (usually one a fortnight), and if you get enough, once a week. I have no idea what the cut-off is for the different pay times though. My first check from them was only $60 or so but it got sent in the fortnight period.

Support is getting faster lately too with the upgrade. They also contact you first now before they void a transaction and attempt to contact the signup to give them a chance to correct 'wrong data'

In all, still happy with them :)

i'm happy with them. how long does it usually take them to verify a charge? for me, it took about a whole night, which wasn't pleasing to me. how about you guys?

i just contacted revecom to have my billing cobranded like it says in their faq:

What will be the name of the merchant on my customers' credit card statements?

Initially, all charges will appear as PaySystems.com, Inc. About 25-35 days following account activation, we will issue your personal MID and TID. Charges will then appear as YOUR COMPANY NAME by PaySystems.com.

They told me they dont offer that anymore. Has anyone sucessfully set this up?

teck,

It is taking up to 24 hours for many of my transactions to be settled. I don't really like that, but part of it is that I have yet to see a single charge come through where they passed the AVS for both address and Zip code. I think this is the reason that they get slowed down. I am not sure why the AVS can't seem to verify valid and correct addresses, but this does seem to be a problem. Outside of the time to verify, I have been very pleased with them.

I am a bit unhappy with what they told you about cobranding. It was a major reason that I signed up with them. My biggest complaint with Revecom is that their website is not accurate in many places.

yeah marty, tell me about it. it really sucks when i say accounts will be activated within a few hours and i cant come through. good thing most of my clients are my friends so i set their accounts up right away. i wish they can speed up the verification process. anyway, did you have any luck asking them about the cobranding? well, here is the answer given to me after the second time i asked them concerning the cobranding listed in their faq:

We have modified oue business model to concentrate on high volume billing solutions. We are no longer offering that platform.

That was the reason why I signed up too. I was planning on having this turned on but I guess it's not possible now :( Also, the support person who emailed me back came from a different domain name. before, it came back from support@paysystems.com, now it came from a @mobile.rogers.com.... wierd.
