Hi all!
As it's known we have to put the true information when register a domain name as ICANN requires this. I have 2 question to talk about:
1) Why this database is not accessible only for the ICANN?
2) As all domain resellers offer private registration this contradicts with the ICANN requirements that registration to be public... So the ICANN has some access to our private information even if we use private registration.
Just want to know your opinion.

Icann requires all domain names to be registered with accurate information. The whois protection services act in a proxy fashion where your information is replaced by theirs. Since the information that proxy service is proving is theoretically accurate it would not violate icann's policy with whois information

Is there any need the private information to be visible to everebody???
That would be enough if only ICANN could read the registrant's data.

Only for domains registered by private individuals for non-commercial use.
But... even for domains that don't qualify for opt-out the registry will only ever publish names and postal addresses - no phone numbers and most importantly no email addresses.
