Abu Mami 04-23-2002, 06:51 AM It's also claimed that dictionary words have a premium. Most people only have a vocabulary of several hundred words, so I'm not sure if this is really true. Also size - 2 and 3 letter domains seem to sought after. You know, stuff like MS, MSN, IBM, AMD, etc :-) Indra 04-23-2002, 07:24 AM Most people only have a vocabulary of several hundred words, so I'm not sure if this is really true. So this is one of the reason why my www.zappycafe.com is not appealing? If you're just disappointed that it isn't attracting a lot of traffic, then join the club. A site can sometimes take a lot of time till the traffic picks up. Lots of issues are factored into this: content, design, graphics, navigation, speed, etc. If the site is new, then give it time and keep working on it. If you've had the site for a couple years and you get 10 visitors a month, well, you might need to think about a new approach. shecodes 04-23-2002, 08:49 AM The term Zappycafe doesn't mean anything to me. The site is listed as "still under construction", and I wouldn't have any compelling reason to visit. Heck, most of my sites fit into that category, they only hold value to me. Perhaps if you got involved in the blogging community you would get more traffic. Sue parawing742 04-23-2002, 09:07 AM A domain becomes valuable when it can be used to market a product or service or in some other way be used to make money. Businesses are the ones that spend big money on domain names. I used to own the domain codebreak.com and I let it expire because there was reason to keep it. Now someone else owns it and they are trying to sell it (good luck!). Indra 04-23-2002, 10:28 AM Originally posted by shecodes The term Zappycafe doesn't mean anything to me.
