View Full Version : DV2/TranxactGlobal is not fair

I'm now in my second month of having my server on DV2/TranxactGlobal. The server is running well and uptime is very good.

There are still two unresolved problems though, the first one is that my APC remote reboot hasn't been setup yet (do I have to beg them???) and secondly, their billing department is very unprofessional.

I ordered the server on March 8, 2002 and there was a week delay in the setup till March 15 and my server still hasn't had the Plesk license installed so I had to buy the license from someone else (transfer the ownership). Now that I've used my own Plesk license, I told billing to stop charging me from the Plesk key rental fee. They said yes.

Sailor promised me to fix/compensate my billing period to not counting the one-week delay period, but this month they charged my card on April 9, not on April 15. And they still charged me the Plesk key rental fee.

It took me four emails (and several trouble tickets) to get Jeff Hinkle (is Sailor = Jeff Hinkle?) replied to my email with a very nice and encouraging one liner:
"I will get it tonight. Thanks for your patience."

Well guess what? He DID NOT do anything!

I know many of you have got your servers from DV2 as well and experienced the long setup delay. Did they compensate you on that? Or did they still count the setup delay in your billing period? Have you got your APC remote reboot setup?

Sailor or Jeff, I hope you're reading this post. Please don't get mad at me. I'm just trying to express my feeling, being treated unfair by you who didn't keep your promise on WHT about the APC remote reboot and billing compensation.

eservers.biz, is it possible to transfer my billing and support responsibility from DV2 to you? If that would mean I'll get better support and service, I'd love to do so.

Miha, this isn't a TranxactGlobal support forum; they even have their own forums.

Anyway, since you're posting here you must be asking for help from non-TranxactGlobal people? In that case: I hope you asked for your IPs by sending an e-mail to 'engineering', not to Jeff?

Funny, Teck was editing this post while I was writing mine...Sorry for the 'redundancy'

Maybe that's why I've been waiting weeks to order a new server from eservers.biz. It sounds like they got in over their heads and are trying to catch up before taking on new customers.....

Been with them almost 3 months now :)
Not in a rush for the APC to be honest... seriously, not one problem with the server. VERY nice.

Last I heard they ran out of APC's and were waiting on some more coming in. They DO install them as a friend got a server a month before me and his was installed.

Billing is one of those things. When a company like them (I assume) does billing, if you request 2 weeks free, and they agree, they don't extend your billing date 2 weeks, they give you %50 back. I agree with this totally.

You are paying for that month, sometime within that month.

If i'm wrong correct me, but most companies do it like this, or alot anyway.

SO far, I still hear nothing from Jeff about this billing issue. Either they extend my billing period by one week or refund 25% of the first monthly fee, I'll be happy. But it seems that they don't care and bother at all about it.

hi,
we do have one server with them. Server is good up and running but their response is very poor. After sending many emails and posting in discussion forum then we got the APC reboot and mrtg graphs....And really the billing department is very unprofessional.... we are really very much disappointed with their service.....The only reason why we are still with them is bandwidth at less price....but the network is good...

I just got my server at tranxactglobal and I have been sent an email with the following info:

Your server is up and ready for you.

LS-XXX domain.com

209.XX.XXX.XX/XX

209.XX.XXX.XX Network
209.XX.XXX.XX Gateway
209..XX.XXX.XX Server address
209.XX.XXX.XX - XX Open
209.XX.XXX.XX Broadcast
255.XXX.XXX.XXX SubNetmask

Root passwd: XXXXXXXX

Thank you,

Michael Escott
DV2, Inc.

Anyone hosting with tranxactglobal please describe what these are?

Specifically, I am looking for the nameserver to use to modify with my domain registrar.

And what login name did you use to telnet/ssh, I tried "admin" but it didn't work.

Sorry for asking these questions here, if only I've been given a more detailed "welcome email" I would have been up and running by now. and if only they could answer emails in a shorter time, if only their site forum is packed with useful how to's ...

I don't even know what nameserver to use to transfer my domains to tranxactglobal! :~

Fellow Tranxactglobal users please enlighten me. Thanks a lot!

Hi enchanted,

Use "root" as the login name to your server.

As for nameservers, you need to assign two IP addresses from your usable IPs (usually you got five usable IPs from them) and ask them to setup the nameservers for you using the two IPs.

they are selling UNMANAGED servers, are they not? this is just a general question about both companies by the way as i have NO experience with either and am considering them for my next dedicated server...

Thanks twrs, but using the login name "root" did not work. And Ensim is looking for a license so I can't get in either :(

I have sent 2 emails and the last reply i got was:

"I am finding out the information for you...as soon as I am told.. I will let
you know.

Thank you"

This is worrying me, I haven't even recovered from my rackshack experience..........

The login "root" is to connect to your server via SSH and the server IP address. Use the password included in the welcome email.

As to login to your Ensim control panel, I think the username/password is the default one. You could search in the ensim.com web site for more information.

And yeah, when I got my server two months ago, I have to wait for a week until I got the Plesk key license installed.

Good luck!

yes thats true the uptime and network is too good...but atleast they should respond right ??? in our case they delay for

- MRTG graphs
- APC remote reboot
- Server installation

anyway....the bandwidth is good....onething is true we can't expect all the things at this price..
