Hello everyone,
I would just like to make it clear to myself that now PayPal has changed the way it's Website Payment process works (For business and premier accounts), does this mean PayPal is virtually like other credit card processors (2CO, etc)?
Sorry, I may sound dumb, It's just not registering into my brain.
Regards,
Steve.

Since you are in the UK, you would not be able to use Website Payments Pro (with an API for credit card processing), but you would be able to use Website Payments Standard.
With Website Payments Standard, you can receive payments from your customers with PayPal accounts, as well as credit card payments from customers without PayPal accounts. When the customer clicks the payment button on your website, they are taken to a page on PayPal.com that gives them the option to login or continue checkout without an account. Either way, the payment is transferred to your PayPal account (minus fees), and you can withdraw the funds to a bank account or use the funds for other PayPal purchases. Your customers who use credit cards will see PAYPAL* along with your business name on their credit card statements.
EDIT: The Express Checkout APIs, which are part of Website Payments Pro, are also available internationally. However, this is designed mainly for customers who already have a PayPal account and does not allow users to complete checkout without logging in or creating an account. You can use Express Checkout to make the checkout process more streamlined for your PayPal customers, but I would recommend using the Website Payments Standard method with Account Optional for your customers who just want to pay using a credit card.
