TheMMIz 04-22-2002, 10:01 AM My old webhost used to use Tera-Byte, I dont think in the six months I was with them there was more than 2 hours of down time
Chicken 04-22-2002, 10:04 AM I colocated a server there (about a year ago-ish) and had no problems (I'm from the U.S.).
avara 04-22-2002, 10:09 AM If you located a server in Asia, but all your customers were in the US, that might cause problems. But as Canada is right next to the US, it should be just fine. No worries. :)
When I had a RaQ with 4WS, there were slow speeds to the US. I'm sure it has greatly improved today.

I've leased a RaQ3 from them for over a year. Service and responsiveness have been very good. So good, that I just colo'd my FreeBSD server with them.
Mester 04-23-2002, 05:55 PM Though I'm not personally a big fan of Tera-Byte (not due to experiences though :)), I see no reason you should worry. To someone in the central US, the physical distance is the same to that of maybe Houston, though I'm not too sure about the network.
I've been hosted in Philidalphia, Vancouver, Houston, and Montreal and not seen any real difference in speed due to distance.
Sorry about the bad spelling of all those citys lol
BTW I live in the Toronto area :D
