Ok, I think this has gone on far enough. I am a loyal Cyberwings customer. Granted, I signed up a month ago, but I have 4 accounts with them! I am not the only one. I am in the chat room almost every day. Cyberwings isn't just about hosting. It's about COMMUNITY. Cyberwings has changed my life. I never ever ever thought I would pay for a host until CW came around. Now, I have 4 domain names and hosted accounts! CEO Shawn is the most generous person I know. He doesn't deserve everything that you guys on here at WHT are doing. The warnings were given out that it would take 7-10 business days for accounts to be set up. When I signed up in March, there were only 3 people, now there are 5 people working for CW.

I like where Shawn is taking CW. If they had stock, I'd spend my life savings and sell all 400 of my CD's to buy as much as I could because they are going to grow!

I am only going to say one thing. I hope EVERYONE who has an account with CW comes on here and shows thier support!

I have four hosting accounts and one reseller account with Cyberwings... and I'm very happy and satisfied with the space and the service.

In another thread, someone cast aspersions on those of us who know the folks who work at CW and feel free to call them by name and who still don't work there. That's the kind of place CW is. The CEO and all the techs spend time in the support chat answering questions and resolving problems. Sure, they aren't there all the time... they do have accounts to set up.... but there is almost always one or more of them in the support chat. OF COURSE we cyberwingers know who they are and where they are. Why wouldn't we?

I'm happy with Cyberwings. I will admit to being a bit skeptical at first, but they have given me exactly the service I expected and THEN some!

I agree with Apac...I was skeptical at first, but I am SO glad I did. By the way, how many hosts other hots except for 6 others can say they have good response/ping times?

Not to bash anyother host, but how can you beat the price of hosting at Cyberwings???? It's the greatest!

I am not here to bash anyone and I am truly sorry if I hurt or offended any by my posts but I was only telling the truth.
Ok, if you guys are loyal friends of Cyberwings just tell Shawn to send my money back and that’s it.
I will not write another post in this place about Cyberwings.
I swear.
I am not a bad person and I know that you guys may truly be customers of this company. The money that you make of hosting might be to support your families.
It's not about the money because I can do without $60, YEAH sixty bucks.
I just hate to be used and lied to the same time.
It hurts more than you think.
Tell Shawn that that if he doesn't pay me back asap I will post messages in this forum about him and Cyberwings the same length of time that he made me wait for my refund.
I planed to go longer but I thought about the innocent persons that were being hurt in this.
Again I am sorry if I hurted anyone.

I´m hosting at CW too (+10 regular accounts and a reseller account) and I'm very happy there. Any support issues I've had were either because of accounts setup time or because I wanted some feature (not specified as available when I signed up) to be setup or turned ON or OFF... I've asked for the same thing with other hosts before and A) have been charged extra by the month for it, or B) told not to ask for features I knew were not available.

I believe the moral quality of people is very easy to judge some times; I don't trust someone who disqualifies others just because don't agree with their (bitter) point of view. Well, I can't speak for others, but I'm a (one in many) happy customer :) at CW (so happy I took the time to make a couple posts, which I very very rarely do, even when the subject is of interest to me).

Maybe you are accusing Shawn...maybe you should be accusing the USPS for not delivering your mail that was returned to you. And, why not use the cyberwings chat room to ask about your order status?

If the money order was invalid then why didn't he e-mail me to say so? I swear that the first e-mail that I recieved from this guy was Saturday night when I checked my hotmail. After I posted my issue in WHT.
Also, I went to the chat room if read my first post in the other forum. You were there that Saturday morning because I remember you nick-name.

I honestly don't remember you being in the chat on Saturday, but I am not the best person to ask, so I believe that you were there. I DON'T BELIEVE HOWEVER, that you were KICKED from the chat once you asked your question. Did you even think about RE-ENTERING the chat? I know the NickServ was having a problem, and you could have gotten kicked by that, but you could have always re-entered. I am SURE one of the CW Ops has a log of everything that took place, especially Shawn himeself.

Noe Laura, how long did it take YOUR money order to reach CW? a week? two weeks? How long have you waited for the money order to come back to you? A week?

Second, don't you think there was a chance that your money order could have gotten LOST? I hate to say it but the USPS is not the most GRACEFUL part of the US. I get mail that's late all the time! It sometimes takes 3 days for something to go around my CITY! Isn't there a way you can ask your bank to stop payment on that money order anyways? Most banks here in the US will gladly do that. Can't you check to see if your Money Order has been cashed already?

I don't think this is completely CW's fault. Granted, they are slow at setting up accounts, but that's the only downfall! If you can be patient, there should be no problem. I can understand WHY it took them 7 days to setup an account. There's only 5 people working there, some people had OTHER stuff to deal with in thier LIFE. There were a TON of orders each day. They have grown TREMENDOUSLY in a short time.

That's where I think the good things. Shawn is smart enough to realize when to pull back and let his company catch up to the growth. He is a VERY generous man! The rest of the CW staff is absolutely phenomenal. I don't think ANY of them get more than 8 hours of sleep a WEEK! They need a well deserved break! Shawn is try to help them out so they can GET that well deserved break! Shawn is doing everything he can to make sure customers don't go away angry. Granted, some won't be pleased no matter what, but that's customer service. He is doing everything in his power to make CW the BEST hosting company with the BEST Community! Heck, how many hosts have a group of users putting up help and how-to pages for new users?????? NOT MANY, I can assure you!

Again, Laura, I don't criticize you for not liking CW. I don't criticize you for wanting your money back. I DO criticize you for trying to ruin a business because of something that could have happened OUT OF THIER CONTROL!

I URGE you to come onto the CW chatroom and just observe the community! A LOT of users help new users. There is a LOT of chatting about a LOT of stuff. Shawn is a great guy, and very generous. The rest of the CW crew are awesome too!

Because of all this, I spend WAYYYYYYY too much time in the CW chat room, but I like it. I've learned alot about hosting and things that go with it. I look at CW as more of a group of friends rather than a business. Heck, there are a ton of people who want to WORK there!

Hi, just wanted to show my support for CW
I've got 2 regular hosting accounts there, and I can honestly say they've been great.

I'm sorry things haven't worked out for you Laurababe, and I honestly can see why you're upset, but I really don't think Shawn would mess you about like that if it was in his control.
Ok I know I'm biased as I've had no problems with them, but that's just my spin on it.

I agree with slayerboy and would say come back to the chat room for a bit and see if it can be sorted.

Because people in this forum have insisted on continually slinging mud in the direction of Cyberwings.

I've currently got two accounts with them and the only problems I've encountered are the long setup times.

LauraqBaby, did you ever bother to register on the CW support forums, then follow instructions as to what to do if your order was 10+ days old with no welcome email yet? I doubt it. I really don't know the particulars of your problem, but I do know that no one in that support group would kick you out of chat for asking why their account wasn't set up yet.

I personally have 2 hosting accounts with CyberWings and so far the experience has been great. Yes, it is true that during the time(s) they are having a sale that support and account setups do lag a bit. BUt nowhere else will you find the features and service that you get at CW. Shawn is a great guy (I do not know him personally, he is in Maine and I am in Kentucky) from my experiences with him. He is always posting in the support forums and is always willing to help out when he can. Quit the bashing and grow up. I feel that your problems stem with poor postal service rather than with CyberWings.

Yes, I am a paying customer, my accounts are listed below. I would not hesitate to buy another account from CyberWings for critical business purposes.

Check them out and see if they are not fast and reliable enough for any hosting purpose.

I gave this guy a full Month to return my money order which only took less than a week to reach him.
But time is not the problem here, just how I emailed Shawn and told him that I sent the payment and kept on emailing him to ask if it has arrived asyet he could have done the same by e-mailing me to let me know that he sent the refund (Thats being Professional).
He could have e-mailed me and told me that it would taken a year to arrive and I would have been happy with that.
But like I said, I didn't get one e-mail from him until I placed my issue in this forum.
I am not here to prove wheather I was booted out of a chat session or not.
I don't want to go to any page on Cyberwings again.
I don't want to hear what a great guy Shawn is and how much you learned in your 1 month at Cyberwings.
All I want is my money back.:angry:

the purpose of this forum is to discuss webhosting and related issues. All people flinging mud at Laurababe, save some for me. I have accoiunts with Cyberwings. I was once a happy customer. Now I think Cyberwings (even though Shawn is cool) is one of the worst hosts you can think about getting. No response from email, I get run around in the forums and support chat, and the sheer volume of mistakes they make is unimaginable. I truly am sorry to Shawn, it would have worked if you had charged more from the get go.
I have a feeling Cyberwings won't last.
So why don't you back of of Laurababe. Serioulsy. She has a ligitimate gripe with the porrp service of a not-so-good hosting company. As do I.

MCP - yup. You have a legitimate gripe. So does Laurababy. The difference between you is that you gripe about the service and the company, while Laurababy badmouthed the personalities involved. Griping is one thing.... mudslinging is another. And personal attacks are mudslinging, as far as I know. You haven't done that.... and you're not likely to get the reaction from anyone that Laurababy got.

For those who don't know, apaparapacas.... (sp?) has been the shining light throughout this Cyberwings junk. I'd like to personally thank you for picking up the slack in their support forums and esp in the chat room when I was having really bad problems... Now, if you could only talk Shawn into letting me switch the domain name of the account that took 6 weeks to set up.
Here's some history on my problem for those who are interested
I lost medmasters.net (my client) due to the wait (now I own the domain name and don't know what to do with it). I've got a new client who I could use the space for, but now cyberwings won't return my emails again... I sent them off to domains@cyberwings.com; customerservice@cyberwings.com; sjwhite@cyberwings.com; orders@cyberwings.com; and support@cyberwings.com. It's been 3 days and no response from any department. This is crazy. The never-ending cyberwings nightmare continues.
Also, ironically if you remember apaparapacas.... (sp?) they where giving away a free month to those people who got the late set-ups, but apparently mine was so late that offer was over. No free month for me. Actually, no info on how to use my new account in my welcome email either (I got one from a guy who forwarded me a message from Shawn himslef saying "could you please set this guy up already?"-he must have gotten sick of geting so much email from me). Now, and for the grand finale, at one point in time during that six week wait they mistakenly set me up with a reseller hosting plan which I couldn't even log into, and now I checked my yahoo mail (a junk account that I rarely check) and I see I have 3 emails from billing@cyberwings.com saying I owe them 15 dollars for this month. C'mon now, the plan I bought was only 3 or 4 bucks for the entire year!
This, is unbelievable to me. I won't explain all that happened during the 6 weeks while I was waiting for set-up, but believe me, it was a lot.

I don't see any email in swhite@cyberwings.com pertaining to this matter. Hmm. I'm normally VERY responsive - sorry if I can't check mail every single day while travelling, but I do try. And yes, we do allow domain name changes on accounts, in fact, it's on our website under hosting upgrades. Hmm.

I would REALLY like you to email me personally at swhite@cyberwings.com - give me your name, etc. and I bet I can track down where this all comes from/came from - are you SURE you never signed up for a reseller account? There is NO WAY you would have been put into our billing system as a reseller if you did NOT signup for a reseller account - NO WAY, period. I bet I can track it back to a payment id, reseller application, or SOMETHING to explain this, but you need to contact me before I can do anything.

I've been in chat very frequently over the past week or so - have you IM'd me? I haven't seen anything. I've expanded our staff by 2 additional people this week and have spent time personally training them myself while our other staff is busy working on other projects.

Just email me. We'll get it worked out for ya. swhite@cyberwings.com, just send it in, explain it out and, voila, it'll be done.

I just checked with my guys in chat too, they do not recall any MAJOR critical issues like this in chat this past 1-2 weeks while I've been frequently offline from chat....

Contact me directly if you wish, I'm just waiting to assist you, but can't do it without lots more information.

Not a good idea to get into business with this guy. I've had yet even more problems with cyberwings, but they are now just too many to go over and I'm sure nobody is interested any longer. It seems they've bellied up...
