I have seen a few posts on various mailing lists about this problem.
The LCD shows "Starting clock.." and the boot seems to have hang.
I had a power loss here (my UPS couldn't take it, an hour or so) and
when the power came back on it stalled there. I connected a serial
cable and rebooted with the powerbutton.
It stalled again here and there seemed to be no disk access. Only the
LAN LED flashed a few times per minute..
"Starting pcimod autoloading PCI modules: - done.
Starting tmpinit
Starting quota
Starting system logger: syslogd
Starting kernel logger: klogd
Starting dbrecover Checking consistency of user and group information..."
It took about 14 hours to fix this..
"done
Starting cced: cced
Running CCE constructors:"
So if you get this problem. Just give it time. It really does
fix the trashed database.. :)
