I bought 40 domain names from GoDaddy, parked them at Sedo. No offers, and only one ad click (I think from someone I know) that earned me .10 . Do I just sit and wait? There's over a million names. How is anyone even going to know mine exist? Is my best bet to wait for click revenue, or to actually hope the impossible happens and someone wants to buy one?

I refresh my domain list page every 10 min, looking for new Unique Views of my domains. I get a few views per day. Are people earning decent revenue just from parked domains? Do you just have to wait a year before anything happens?

To answer your question in short order, yes you just sit and wait. The general idea of grabbing names and parking them is to try and get names that already have traffic comming to them. That way that traffic will end up at your domain name ;) If you aren't going that route, then the idea is to snatch up popular domains that somebody would love to buy from you.

without having domains which was sites in old days or generic domains that has type-in traffic, you just sit and wait for ppl to search sedo's database for certain keyword that has your name or so.

May I ask what makes you think that *newly registered* domains would earn you decent clickthroughs or even be be bought by anybody else??

Because they're good names?

What makes you think they're good names?

No idea. I just felt they were worth more than I paid for them.

So you bought them because you through they were worth more, that right there should tell you why you're not getting a bunch of clicks. They did not already have any traffic and are not a type-in type of domain, so why would there be anybody going to them? If nobody goes, you're never going to get any clicks.

Now what makes you think they are worth more than you paid for them? Odds are if you registered them openly, then they are not worth a whole heck of a lot because there are 100 more variations of the same domain that means the same thing and people could register for $7.95.

That's why I was asking about clicks. I didn't expect to get any right away. I was just wondering if you start getting clicks because they're parked at Sedo, and maybe Sedo submits them to engines or something or because of the keywords in the domain names.

Do you ever register new domain names?
