Curious Too 04-21-2002, 11:11 AM I have customers telling me that their sites have been inaccessible anywhere from 1/2 hour to several hours. Other servers at NAC but with a different company are up and running. Is anyone else having problems with their Site5 server and if so, can you give me an idea of how much down time you have so far today? sodapopinski 04-21-2002, 11:23 AM Yes, I can not access my box. Hope they can fix it asap. bert 04-21-2002, 11:28 AM Yes, almost 2 hours. I have already paged them, but no reply from anyone as of yet. bert 04-21-2002, 11:42 AM Might want to read this: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46074 <<MOD NOTE: Threads were merged>> avara 04-21-2002, 11:56 AM Still down, and pinging them results in 90% packet loss. It's funny... They're one of the most expensive data centers out there, and though I hate to say this, their network seems less reliable than RackShack! This is not acceptable, and I demand an explanation. bert 04-21-2002, 11:57 AM I have been getting 100% packet loss every time since it started almost 2 1/2 hours ago. :( nate 04-21-2002, 12:02 PM This seems to be an excessive length of downtime. Typically site5.com is quick about getting things back online... an update would be nice! avara 04-21-2002, 12:03 PM Hmm... Packet loss is now down to 20%. Still high, but at least I can access my sites again. For now. Edit: It didn't last... They're back down again. Netstarhost 04-21-2002, 12:03 PM been down 2 hours...anyone hear anything yet? bert 04-21-2002, 12:05 PM Just got an update from one of their employees who told me they are working on it. I know they are very diligent about their network and trust they will be back online at full speed soon :) figment88 04-21-2002, 05:46 PM has anyone gotten more word. It was up for ahile but now seems down again. Matt Lightner 04-21-2002, 06:10 PM Sorry about that folks. :o We experienced a bit of a DoS this morning starting at about 10 Eastern time. Everything has been under control for some time now. figment88: There are currently no known network issues. If you're having trouble accessing your site/server, please email the appropriate technical support address and we will look into it ASAP. If you are unable to email us, send me a PM and I'll have someone look into the matter for you. Zorbs 04-21-2002, 10:04 PM I am on site5 and I too experienced downtime this morning, but let me tell you, it was short and so minor compared to others that I've had to deal with in the past... well it was almost pleasant !!! :eek2: Matt Lightner 04-21-2002, 10:06 PM Originally posted by Zorbs I am on site5 and I too experienced downtime this morning, but let me tell you, it was short and so minor compared to others that I've had to deal with in the past... well it was almost pleasant !!! :eek2: Gee.. thanks!
