I don't know how many of you are set up as affiliates in any affiliate programs. But when you are deciding whether to sign up with one or not, is it an important issue whether the program is administered inhouse or by a third party? Do you not sign up if it is run inhouse?

I'm looking at setting up an affiliate program, and am having difficulty deciding how much weight to put on the third party issue.
