I started this thread here:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45979

cautioning others to stay away from gearhost, and I carefully documented why I felt so as I didnt want to be like some people who go around, without facts and create threads like rachshack sucks.

There have been several threads just telling people to stay away. My thread did just that. I also wanted to see if anyone was experiencing the same problems as me. I also wanted to see if enough people were fed up enough to consider a class action suit.

There have been plenty of threads, just saying a host is bad, and here are a few links to them, found currently in teh same forum as mine on the first page:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45481

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45872

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42061

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41641

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45921

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31666

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45871

Oddly enough, only the gearhost ones were closed.

Maybe it was gear host who bought this forum, and not headsurfer of rachshack?

Having read your entire post I feel the actions of Chicken locking the thread were warranted, you have stated your disappointment well, and I also feel that the thread could turn info a flame war between yourself and the host.

One mistake you made was to let a host register a domain for you, thats listed as number 1 on the list of stupid things to do, lol (sorry)

You stated your case well, and I congratulate you on that, im sure if I were going to host with them I would think twice before doing so, well done.

I hope you have better luck finding a new host and hope it works out better next time.

To close this id suggest sending an e-mail to gearhost pointing out one at a time in clear concise bullet points what you require them to carry out.
