Hello,

I was just looking at this site and noticed it is increbily cheap compared to most sites. I noticed though "require either Zend Optimizer (2.1.0) (http://www.zend.com/store/products/zend-optimizer.php) OR ionCube Loader (http://www.ioncube.com/encoder/decoder_download.php) installed on your server " Do any VPS come with this? Or is it easy enough to setup your self?

Apart from those questions I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? How good is there system?

Thank you.

I'll assume not many people have experience with it. Any other recommendations?

Most servers come with ionCube Loader (believing that you already have apache, etc), but Zend Optimizer usually has to be installed seperately. ModernBill is good, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

modernbill is the best billing system IMOP. i just upgrade mine to unlimited domain license.

VPS is just a down scaled dedicated server, zend can be easily compiled as well.

I agree, Modernbill is probably the best billing system geared towards webhosting companies that you can get for the price. There are certainly more powerful and scalable systems out there, but their price tags equal about 5 - 10 times as much as a Modernbill unlimited license.

If you are unsure if your server has Zend installed, download the IonCube version. The IonCube version actually comes with the loaders included, so you just uploaded it (or untar it if you have SSH) and you're good to go.

In my opinion, ModernBill is fantastic. Those that don't think so, have very little patience and expect to know what they are doing right away rather than dig deeper or...heaver forbid...ask for help.

Once you learn the basics and have things setup, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Modernbill is a great product, we have our license installed on a VPS without any issues. Zend is simple to install and pain free.

I also think ModernBill is a solid billing system. It has a difficult learning curve at the start, because there are so many features and options.. but once you get past that, you will find it a very good program.

There are others to consider, too.

www.clientexec.com (simple, but works well)
www.lpanel.com (rapidly becoming a quality product - does not yet support multiple hosting accounts for one lpanel user.)
www.whmautopilot.com (stick with the old version for now. simple, but works well. support is excellent)

Good luck!

With regards to ioncube and zend... they are pretty much the same. Both offer good encryption, and will work equally well. I prefer ioncube loaders, because then I'm not dependent on the server software being changed later...

I was just wondering if I was to buy ModerBill how could I do it so my clients can buy it and use it for there site? Are there any particular packages?

I've also been looking for software that automatically stes up the users account once they have paid, cant find anything. Does anyone know of anything?

You can become a modernbill reseller if you own or lease a modernbill license yourself.

Give them a call, or login to your modern support page. Details can be found there.

Does Modernbill support offline paying methods?

I was looking through their demo, and i found that I couldn't put a payment method as "bank transfer" or "money order", but i'm not too sure about this. Could a modernbill user verify?

no you can't do that, but it was told to be released in V5.

If you can't work Modernbill, I highly reccomend WHMAutoPilot 3.

Yes, it does. I use the options for cheques and money orders only myself, but there is support for other offline methods.
