If it did there would have only been one war several thousand years ago and that would have been it. But I think the world has seen 100,000 wars and were still counting. The item that you overlook, and the reason why there will always be wars, is that we (i.e., humans) are not stagnant inhabitants of this planet. When the peace agreeements are made after one war, there will always be aother flare-up in some other part of the world. Toss in the different religions and the various religious crusades, and you have a rather volatile mixture. I would much prefer to live in the idyllic world of peace you envision, so did Neville Chamberlain. |
