I ordered a raq3 server at 4webspace a while ago.
I asked for the dns and they gave it to me.
I changed the DNS from my domain name to the one they have given to me.
Its 3 days further now, the whois shows the updated DNS but still my site isnt showing up.
I mailed 4webspace and i got this:
I see that you haven't added any records to your DNS server and you haven't
applied to use our own DNS either. That is not going to work. Either
configure your DNS or request to have access to our DNS - as per instructions
in the file we sent you.
What does this mean?
Im totally new at ded. servers.
With my virtual server it was enough to change the DNS.
Did i miss something now, do i need to setup something.
I have a site with many members that are paying and this is gonna cost me alot of money.
My current host were pissed that i was changing to a new host so they cancelled my account as soon as they found out i was moving. Im also reachable at ICQ :95164758
Im gone now but ill be back in 5 hours.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks

Did you get this along with your account information:

If you plan on hosting other domains on your server and want to use our DNS server, send an email to noc@tera-byte.com with the subject line \'DNS control panel account for here-comes-your-domain.com\'. Once the account is set up, you will be able to use our domain name servers instead of running DNS on your RaQ. This will provide much more reliable DNS service.

I did sent that email and a dns control panel has been setted up the next day.

No it isn't this simple. What you did before was change your DNS to your host's and they took care of the directing (DNS).

Now, you are in control of this and it must be set up one of two ways:
One, you run DNS on the machine itself. (I don't recommend you attempt this as it sounds like you don't have a firm grasp on the process).
Two, you email them asking them to use *their* DNS servers which will be easier for you to understand. Still a bit of knowledge (not much) is required.

The following assumes you are just using *one* IP address and you didn't order any more.

Once you request to use their DNS, you'll be given the site URL and a user name and password. Log in. Add your domain name. Point it to your server IP address. Add an A record (also point it to your server's IP address). Forward all non-matching to (you guessed it), your IP address.

Once this takes (could be a day or two), your domain will resolve correctly.

Note: Of course you have to set up the domain on the server as well. Don't skip this crucial part :) For the IP address, use the server's IP address.

Thanks, it worked.
I mailed them and it was setup right away.
The site showed up already after 3 hours!
One thing i still dont get: ad an A record and point all nonmatching?
Like what?
