I'm not trying to put down he.net -- they provide excellent quality. But you'll probably be able to easily find hosting with the same or similar quality of service, at a lower price elsewhere / with more disk space and bandwidth (25 megs of disk space for $9.95 is way below average, and means that even if your web site grows just a little you would have to upgrade to the next plan). roly 04-20-2002, 07:41 AM Originally posted by avara Overpriced. Back when I didn't yet run a hosting company and I was looking around for a host that fit my needs, I had a web site there for a few months. There wasn't any downtime, and support was reasonably fast. I still have DNS for about 20 sites hosted on a he.net server through hammernode, and I haven't really noticed any network outages. So again, they are good but expensive. If you already know that, maybe you shouldn't have asked. ;) avara 04-20-2002, 07:48 AM please delete, double post avara 04-20-2002, 07:48 AM please delete roly 04-20-2002, 07:52 AM why did you post that 3 times:angry: NetXL 04-20-2002, 07:52 AM So this is how you get your post count big. Just post it a few times ;) rey 04-20-2002, 07:53 AM I think HE.net shared hosting is reliable and surely will meet your needs. I heard a lot of positive comments about HE.net. I've been to their data center and meet with many people. They have a several technicians in their 20s-30s and looks like they can support you true 24/7 (live person), which is HE.net's strong point. HE.net offers relatively good features. There is really nothing wrong with HE.net if you want to go with them. But, maybe you already know this as well :) avara 04-20-2002, 07:54 AM Originally posted by NetXL So this is how you get your post count big. Just post it a few times ;) Hah LOL. No I just hit post once, and it appeared 3 times for whatever reason. I just noticed that now. Sorry about that. I don't have permission to delete my own posts though, even if they were posted a minute ago. rey 04-20-2002, 07:58 AM No I just hit post once, and it appeared 3 times for whatever reason. Avara, I had the same problem before, but with Buy.com. Place an order to get harddrives, and there were 3 identical orders sent to me. What I did was placed the order 3 times, and exit on the first two and decided to get it on the third time. Maybe it's a cookie problem :) |
