View Full Version : moving from lightone
biodragon 04-20-2002, 06:19 AM I have a 1U box with lightone and I would like to move it to another provider (if i ever get my box that is). I need about 400-600gig of bandwidth per month.
Mail me with interesting offers at duke@terraservers.net
or post to this thread.
Good thing I have boxes at other providers for redundancy!

anjelic27 11-11-2002, 08:49 PM he never got his box back , been promised for almost a year but never got it back
Potsie 11-12-2002, 02:12 AM I think very few people got their boxes back. I have been on a manhunt for my servers and Chris Tibaldo for about three months now. Tempted to fly out to his hometown to pay him a visit.
He cleaned out the datacenter just a few days before I got the name and number of a guy there. I should have known he was a scam from the beginning, but well into the temptation and sent him two lower-end boxes.
Live and learn. Now hunt.
anjelic27 11-15-2002, 03:00 AM i used to live with him for 3.5 years and i know how he was !!!! i am sorry for those who he ripped off and didnt work out right !!!
Potsie 11-15-2002, 03:18 AM From my experiences with him I can only say that I am certainly more sorry for you than for myself! If his personal life was anything like his business life, he would have been untrustworthy at best. My condolences.
skylab 11-15-2002, 05:39 AM didn't lightone go out of business last year?
anjelic27 11-16-2002, 08:00 PM thank you potsie , it was just like his buisness life and is a continuing hell , skylab he is starting up a new company with his new gf trying to get foonet and is already using rackshack and works with a irc guy named shocky http://shellbox.net/
anjelic27 11-16-2002, 08:02 PM as for biodragon i feel sorry for him because he is still in contact with chris and his new gf and he still thinks he is gonna get his box back :bawling:
Potsie 11-17-2002, 02:54 AM Please feel free to share the details of his new endeavor so we can all be sure to avoid it like the plague! In fact, I'm sure there are some of us who would LOVE to know his current wherabouts so we too could serve him with some legal papers :)
skylab 11-17-2002, 04:36 AM it would be about time some of you served him with legal papers.
anjelic27 11-18-2002, 03:49 AM yea well so far everyone he ripped off is having a hard time proving he did it due to the fact he never sent out papers saying he sold the stuff to them a receipt of some sort he never sent them out biodragon requested one alot of times he just avoided it , like he did his customers he wouldnt answer the phone when he was there and if i did he told me to lie for him and say he wasnt there due to the fact he didnt wanna deal with them !!! he still does that unless it is his gf in texas he will avoid the phone calls so it is gonna be hard cause he covers his tracks to well for anyone to do anything all the local people got there stuff back but the people out of state and country it was hard for them !!!
rusko 11-18-2002, 09:37 AM anjelic,
you of course broke up with him as soon as you found out he was defrauding people, right? =]
anjelic27 11-18-2002, 10:06 AM of course not i stood behind him actually hoping it was gonna get better , he kicked me out , and now because of his new gf biodragon is now getting his box back !!!!!
lightone 11-19-2002, 01:47 AM All servers that were colocated with LightOne are still in the LightOne rackspace.
You can request your equipment back directly from the company it's located (helps if you have serial numbers). Private message me and I'll be happy to assist you.
anjelic27 11-19-2002, 02:04 AM hehehe his ex gf will get it back for you just like she did biodragons machine , but oh yea he never provided anyone with receipts so bingo you cant get your equipment back cause omg there is no proof you even sent it unless you have your air bill or credit card receipt and for most people oops it has been to long to do anything about !

What a bunch of BS. I contacted the data center and they told me the place was cleaned out. Some people had been able to retrieve their equipment, but I was one day too late.
Now the phone numbers we had are invalid, the addresses are no longer in use and there is simply no way to establish contact short of a skip trace when filing the claim in court. I even had the local police involved and they paid Chris a visit. He gave them a sob story about business not being good, but he was working with his clients directly. Sure. Maybe it's time for a little poll to see how many actually got their equipment back and/or ever got what they paid for.
Chris, if you're such a stand-up guy, contact your old customers and arrange to send back their stuff. You still have two of my servers. Contact ME for shipping info. I've tried two dozen ways to reach you to no avail. My next try is through the courts.

anjelic27 02-09-2003, 06:08 PM biodragon got $300 dollars for his machine from jennifer but okay here is something when you have a company and you change buisness parteners , isnt her or his responsibility to deal with old customers , because his new financial manager /ex gf dont think the old customers are her or the companys problem !

Potsie 02-09-2003, 10:57 PM Not entirely true. Some of us took a leap of faith before these issues came to the surface.
Bottom line is that he's a thief and a crook. He would have found a way to rip someone off eventually regardless of the due-dilligence performed.
