Anyone know where one can be found? I do visit "perlmonks.com" but not much action there. Prefer Forums to Newsgroups and and a search for this sort of thing on an SE is useless.
Now running Perl 5.006 and noticing a lot of problems with scripts that worked fine before. I know 5.006 is supposed to better and I'm guessing it's a little more stricter than previous versions.
Getting to really hate the phrase: "Premature end of script headers"

The latest stable version is 5.6.1... soo... you might want to think about upgrading again. ;)

Has no one else noticed a difference in how their scripts run (or don't run) between Perl 5.005 & 5.006?

Ikonboard - I use it on my site and I love it, very customizable and great-looking.

Speaking of Ikonboard, are you running it on Perl 5.006? If so, which version of Ikonboard. I use 3.01 myself but have heard from others that when their Server was upgraded to 5.006 they ran into all kinds of problems with any version of Ikonboard.

That happened to me. First the database (DBM) was corrupted. I thought at first it was just one or two files...till I ended up deleting, re-uploading, and chmoding nearly every one of them. I was half-way through when I realized I'd rather dump the db.
Switched to a new host. Switched to MySQL version of ikonboard since they said MySQL is a lesser drain on the resource compared to DBM (and it's easier to back-up). Well, my new host, tera-byte, was very good. Great servers and great support...until my ikonboard slowed down the server it was residing on and my account got suspended and was pending deletion. Good thing my host had mercy on me and re-activated my site just so I could back-up.
Currently moving to a new host (nodehosting.com). But you know what... I'm still waiting for Matt (iB's original developer) to finish his PHP version if ibforums. I'm done with CGI. It has caused me grief so many times to count... either that, or bad coding behind iB.
Peace!
[I pity my visitors, though. I had to relocate them to a temporary forum in ezboard :bawling: ]

I don't like perl forums... take up too much cpu (especially those flatfile ones like yabb)... decided on going with php forums instead. vBulletin is good, but if you don't want to pay for it, then go with phpBB
