bodyz 04-20-2002, 03:53 AM Hey Guys...I hate to do this...put I have gotten really pissed. Cyberwings worked out well in the beginning....they were great but to my understanding they were suppose to have accounts up to date before they began another sale. Yet to my understanding the sale has started. I don't understand? why are they doing this? I asked already for a refund and I sent an email to every department possible I found an Email to and no response yet? what is going on Shawn? you need to this mess cleaned up ASAP or you will continue to lose people like me. If you don't mind waiting for A LONG WHILE, stay away from cyberwings, support has been terrible!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked this guy (Shawn) for a refund almost two months ago and haven't gotten a response yet.
I think that this is a big internet scam similar to one that I remember by a company called TacidBlue (might be the same people).
I wish that I could help you but I need some myself.
I don't live in the U.S so it's gonna be a little hard for me to get my money back.

Seriously.... I think Cyberwings prey on innocent people.
First he (Shawn) starts off as a really nice guy :angel: but ask one question about support or your refund and then :kaioken:
coight 04-20-2002, 06:00 AM Any not well known host that gets recommendations always becomes popular things run great at first then usually turn sour. If you start mixing this with $4/yr sales then you have to wonder how will they hire staff... keep the servers maintained etc.

Cyberwings has ALWAYS given refunds, credits, extra hosting time, extra space or extra bandwidth without question and we FREQUENTLY add on extra time, space or bandwidth WITHOUT people even asking.

As far as your claim, I have at least 15 emails from you that were all responded to within 1 day, or less - in fact, MOST of them (8 of them) were responded to within 10 hours. I'm appauled that you could claim that our support is terrible since we clearly have hard documented proof of our responses to you.
Cyberwings may not be the right place to host a major online store, but in my case I am hosting a site for a high school hockey team. Where else can I get this type of hosting for under $4 a year. Got a critical business need, then Cyberwings may not be the right place. I have been on for only a short time. It took about 10 days to get set up, but now I have the ability to have my own email server, database access, and more space than I need. I needed some minor help a few times, and each time I went to the online chat and got an immediate answer from Shawn or another rep. Give the guy a break. If Shawn wants to take my $3.90 and head for Mexico, I will still be able to sleep at night. It remains as a great bargain, and as long as it lasts I will enjoy it.
lisabelle 04-21-2002, 10:56 PM Before going with CyberWings, I researched thoroughly, and found no one I thought would provide better service, regardless of price. You know what sold me? Not the price, but what I read in the CW forums---and not even the praise---the problems and questions people were having. I saw how Shawn was constantly responding to the posts. Some of the problems I was reading about were the same ones my own host was having, BUT, wasn't giving me any info about and certainly not responding to in the forum or even by e-mails. My old host even gave me a free year of hosting for a new account when I threatened to leave, but I haven't used it and don't intend to. When I needed another site, I came to CyberWings.
As far as support, I have NEVER seen another host provider that is accessible as Shawn, or provides as many options for support as he does. Not only is Shawn in the CyberWings chatroom when he has a chance, but he is friendly and very helpful. And, the chatroom is always full of HAPPY CW customers who are there to lend support or give a hand to a newbie or someone with a tech question. They are not paid to do this, they are there because they are proud to be a part of this GROWING community that is more about support and education than it is making a gazillion dollars.
Instead of criticizing him for the way he runs his business, or judging him even, go to his site, read about what his plans are for CW and why he is in this business. Or better yet, ask him. I have seen how he talks about his plans for CW in the chatroom and he is very passionate about it. So, all of you can stay around on this forum and bash CW all you want, but there are THOUSANDS of us who are happy to have an opportunity be a part of this great and growing company. CyberWings WILL be the biggest and the best---and some of us are smart enough to see that.
I think it is sad that there are some people who don't have anything better to do than to be jealous of the success that CW is having and want to bash them in this forum. I know there are some people who did not get their accounts set up as fast as they wanted, but since the sale, they have had hundreds of extra accounts to set up a day, as well as provide support to its other customers. Anyone who signed up during this time was made aware of this, whether they choose to acknowledge it or not.
Another thing, I certainly do not think CyberWings is a scam. CW may have the cheapest prices, but they are not a cheap host, they are the HIGHEST quality. I have signed up for several hosting accounts and intend to become a reseller. I have a business to run, so if I didn't have complete faith in Shawn and CyberWings, I can assure I'd be elsewhere. I cannot afford to sacrifice quality and support for a good price. But at least with CW, I do not have to!!!

If you are hosting a site for a high school hockey team why are you in WHT?
Didn't you already get your hosting account like you said or are you looking for another host or maybe you just happened by while surfing on espn.com?
It isn't about $3.90 or $390.00, it's about honesty and justice.
I know that I won't be very happy if Shawn takes anyone's money and heads for Mexico, or are you giving me a hint of his whereabouts now?:eek:
I find it strange how Shawn always has exactly two posts backing him up when replies in these forums.
Why don’t you choose an odd number like three or seven Shawn?

Mexican law enforcement are very willing to apprehend any US fugitive and return them to the US. Furthermore, treaties between the US and Mexico insure that extradition will not be a problem.
So stop talking about heading to Mexico to escape duties.

Doesn’t anyone think it strange that she has taken out the time to speak with “THOUSANDS” of happy customers of Cyberwings plus run her own hosting company?
I have noticed this trend allot in the posts placed here by supposed Cyberwings customers and the CEO himself. They claim to have so many customers “THOUSANDS of us” she said. Are you all trying to make the other hosts in this forum jealous or something or is it just me? Well I don’t care how many customers you have or your wonderful experience at Cyberwings (it sounds like a soap opera).
All I want is my money back.:angry:

I've been with CW for some time, and I can tell you I'm very happy there :) . The only major problem I can tell you about is account setup time. Period. If you just cannot wait 5-15 days :eek: (I know, I'm telling you) for your account to be setup, then go elsewhere. Other than that, everything else is just fine. I've even asked for a refund myself once, because I was on a time critical project and needed my accounts as fast as possible. Shawn's reply? fast, and honest. I finally decided to keep my accounts, and I got some extras I didn't expect, and that I couldn't even ask for because I had been told about the delays.
There's just too much good about CW to write here, I know no company is perfect, but I like the supporting environment and the community support, as well as Shawn's and staff quality responses. HEY, if you really think this guy is SO SICK to post fake replies and waste his time signing up with new id's then he must be the fastest typing guy in the world, as well as a real mental case, just look at CW's forums... ha! He must be posting as a thousand alter Egos (good, happy posts btw) just to make CW look good... excuse my bad english, I just couldn't help to reply to this ***pid (It's a shame I cannot use the right adjective here, call it senseless) post. And, I really believe that's easier to start 3-5 negative threads to make someone look bad as JUST 1 USER than to try to respond to them as 4-5 different people.

I am not a bad person and I know that you guys may truly be customers of this company. The money that you make of hosting might be to support your families.

Tell Shawn that that if he doesn't pay me back asap I will post messages in this forum about him and Cyberwings the same length of time that he made me wait for my refund.
I planed to go longer but I thought about the innocent persons that were being hurt in this.

I really feel sorry for you. You seem to be a very bitter and unhappy person. I, personally hope you do get your refund back soon so you can move on with your life. Well, I'll go asking for donations in the CW chatroom if I have too.....

Cyberwings 04-30-2002, 02:50 AM I'm not getting into this anymore, will say this one last time - we mailed this money order back to you and you can verify with your "issuing bank" (whomever that was since our bank wouldn't even VERIFY it as a REAL money order) and ask them to verify that it was NEVER cashed and you can take the issue up with them. We provide refunds all the time to people who ask without a problem, so yours is no different. However, your payment method was not even accepted by your bank, not much more I (or the bank) can do.
