If I posted an anonymous survey at a generic website asking some detailed questions about the members here.. would you participate?

For example, if I asked:

Your net and gross income.
Years in business.
Number of servers.
Number of staff
Number of customers
etc..

I think this kind of aggregate info on the user base here at WHT would be really interesting.

If I get enough yes responses, then maybe I might do it.

Why not? If it's anonymous (you would have no way to supply your name/company)... wouldn't you be interested in the resulting info?

How about you tell me why I should.. Give me 10 good reasons : ) Plus not a whole lot of time for that..

Probably not, but that's me. I'm sure many others with some spare time would!

I might answer it, but I'd have little confidence in the validity or usefulness of the results, or their accuracy as an "aggregate" of the WHT membership. Self-selected samples lead to inaccurate results.

I'd say no...

If you were to match up IP addresses with the responses, you could find out a great deal about someone's business. Furthermore, what would be the advantage to the person taking the survey?
