Seeking:
PHP / mySQL / jack of all trades programmer who:
1) Codes to the utmost standards of proper PHP and other coding guidelines
2) Has a high speed connection to the internet.
3) Is available online by AIM or Yahoo or MSN often.
4) Speaks fluent english and lives in the United States.
5) Has a minimum of 2 hours per day (on average) to dedicate to our projects.
6) Does not have any issues with school, family, dogs, cars, traffic, or other things getting in the way of their availability... which may result in them disappearing for days on end. :)
7) Won't ever be nearly 4 weeks late on delivering a project. Doesn't cop an attitude and tell employers to "stop nagging" when 4 weeks late delivering. Doesn't demand "me time" just because its a Saturday - even though he or she is 4 weeks late delivering. :)
8) Has integrity and can be trusted to complete all work even if he "isn't in the mood". :)
9) Will be committed to providing accurate scoping and delivering projects on time (with reasonable margin for error).
I got pretty specific, so you can probably guess I've had some specific issues like these lately!
The site is an online community of about 500 pages, a phpbb disucssion forum, an OSCommerce store, and several little custom sections of the site which we've added over the years (newsletter module, order pages, banner stuff, etc). A site like this has a lot of fun, interesting projects, but most are between 5 and 20 hours (not huge). Really need someone who I can rely on, and who can be available to fix stuff or create stuff (1 to 2 hour jobs) within 24 hours of being made aware of them. I'd call it a "webmaster" position but I do most of the webmastering. This will relate more to PHP and SQL stuff. Everything I can't do.
There are larger projects available if you think you can handle it and you work *fast*. 20 to 40 hour projects are always needed to get done, so if you can do it, please mention that.
I would prefer that you not reply in this thread, but just email me at public@hairlosstalk.com with your contact information and any comments.
Thanks much!
