hello SR-Glenn,

This is the speed of your connection compared to other sites, would you say it's normal? I doesn't sound like it's 512kbps

hxxp://img303.imageshack.us/my.php?image=swiftroute6be.jpg

Check the image (it doesn't allow me to hotlink the image here), but you will see that swiftroute is at the bottom of the 25 sites surveyed speed wise.

Quoted for Truth.

What Glenn said was correct, the servers are based on the other saide of the largest ocean in the world. One should expect high latency. I have a server in Hong Kong, i can feel some lag/latency through SSH but as far as download speeds, with one thread i get ~3mbit, multiple threads i can max out my 10mbit, will upgrade to 20mbit next month.

What i also noticed was the pickup for the speed was a bit slower, like 0mbit - 2.5mbit takes a few secs, unlike US based server which are almost instant.

The latency is higher but you will still get your download speeds, $59 for unmetered 10mbit is a damn good deal.

You can say....if you are in Hong Kong, try downloading, it will pick up instantly as well. Just because of the place you are using at the moment. But having servers oversea is good for expand businesses.

Well, I do not need DA. I hope you remember me :-)

But, based on your advertisement, DA is already included. You should plan this ahead if you want to offer it free or not but as Glenn posted, DA is included. You should not let the users in WHT disappoint for it.

We currently have slight backlog of servers orders.

Glenn

We are in the midst of provisioning the servers, some customers have gotten their letters from the provisioning department.

Reason for this slight delay, was because Thursday, was a public holiday, thus we could not get the enough servers and the man power needed for them and this is a coming weekend.

For some of you users, who might feel that we might run away with you money, I assure you that that will not happen.

Email received.

I would just like to let you in on the current status of our servers.

(1) All confirmed servers ordered before Friday have been provisioned. Monday would be the when a few of the last dedicated server orders will be processed (most ordered after Friday, or late Friday afternoon, SGT.)

(2) We are looking to fill the gaps of DA, but perhaps at a slight increase in price to $8 - 10 a month. Till then, DirectAdmin licenses will be charged at an additional US$20/mth.

(3) The management has decided to, instead of the proposed celeron offers, to offer dedicated servers of the same specifications, but with a very minimal increase in the price. The, however, does not affect any current customers.

Confused -> Does that mean current customers have free DA or they have to pay for it? The internal license is $9 per month for bulk 20+

If you gonna ask me, I cancelled my server with them.

It just suddently went down for 15 hours now and counting due to network problem...

I guess you can't give positive comments if you are with them for 2 days only...

When was your server down ? Our server is up until now, so I dont know whether the problem is in their network or not

If you think I messed with the server, no...

I have 2 servers in savvis.net and I have my own monitoring server that monitor all my servers. It is not firewall related, didn't touch anything in the configuration, nothing...

Anyway, I don't wanna discuss this here further as it is not appropriate.

If your server is up, then you are fine. I guess I had a bad luck.
