View Full Version : NameSecure is SUX
rightinpoint 11-01-2005, 04:40 PM That guys are completely sux
I am trying to solve problem with zone settings for the my domain during more that month
Also I have transfered to them 3 domains from dotster, (week ago) - still wasn't transfered... I have contacted their support (3 times) - they are simply ignoring me - domains will be expired after few days...
I HATE NAMESECURE
Never, NEVER work with that ****
Dave Zan 11-01-2005, 07:25 PM Sigh, and to think Namesecure, Netsol, and SRSPlus are under the same umbrella.
You said you transferred 3 domains from dotster to them or are in the process of
doing so?
rightinpoint 11-01-2005, 08:24 PM Well. They are still listed under my dotster account...
I am going to lock them and renew them at the dotster... 8)
The main problem - that 1 of that domain (privatehost.info) are used as my ns domain (all my other domains have ns - ns1.privatehost.info, ns2.*) - and it will expire in 2 days...
As I understand, after it will expire - my ns will stop work?
Should I change it now to the my hosting ns?
I hate namesecure - they even do not respond me...
rightinpoint 11-01-2005, 08:31 PM I have just checked whois
for the my domain privatehost.info - state is PENDING TRANSFER
It will expire in 2 days...
Just wonder what I can do now....
rightinpoint 11-01-2005, 08:43 PM Unbelievable!
They answered me!
After 1 week and 3 requests...
Seems that somebody from namesecure check this site... LOL
I will post here if they will solve my problem... ^)
It is not surprising at all. I have been transferring one domain name from NameSecure away and it took me more than 2 months, if I remember it right. Sometimes I felt that their Customer Support did not read the E-mails and just sent away standard answer.
anon-e-mouse 11-02-2005, 03:33 AM I have had a couple of domains with them for five years and the only time I needed their help was the first renewal date and I couldn't remember what username I used and they wouldn't tell me by email. There were two phone numbers to call for verification, one was a US number and a special line for overseas clients. I called them and they asked if I still used my @email account and I said yes. They then asked me to give my username@ that account for verification purposes and sent the details :)
But judging by the above, I don't think I will try and transfer them anytime soon ;)
dmaven 11-02-2005, 12:09 PM When you transfer away from dotster the names may still be in your account even though it is with a different registrar. You may need to contact dotster to remove the name.
dmaven,
I had the same experience with Dotster. It is same with eNom as well.
As for my case with Namesecure, after 3 months I did manage to transfer it away to Dotster, but the most funniest thing was that I have not actually started request from Dotster, I initiated it from Namecheap which failed all the time. And when I contacted Dotster and asked where was the domain name transferred to, they said that, the domain name was transferred but it was not assigned to any accounts in their system. So I created an account with them as requested by Customer Support and then they put the domain into my account.
Do not ask me how that happened, I have no idea and it does not fit into any logic :)
rightinpoint 11-03-2005, 06:44 PM fuf...
I have finally got my domains into my namesecure account...
Seems that problem are solved. :)
dmaven 11-03-2005, 06:55 PM Good to hear this was finally resolved for you
joe46350 12-09-2005, 11:19 AM My Dearest NameSecure,
I’m just a mess these days, thinking about our relationship and where we went wrong. Through all of the tough times – through the sporadic downtimes, the countless hours spent trying to make my scripts work with your overloaded servers, through the mounds of junk mail that slipped through your ever-vigilant spam filter, and yes, even through those restless days spent troubleshooting with your incompetent customer service representatives – I gave you my utmost…indeed, all my heart could give.
When you disappointed me, I turned the other cheek, reminiscing longingly about the early days of our blossoming relationship…the days when, lured by the promise of server robustness and reliability, competent and friendly customer service around the clock, and cross-platform and cross-language script compatibility, all for a modest monthly fee, I was enraptured by your commanding embrace. You promised the world to me, and I – naïve and in love – pledged my unwavering dedication to you. Through sickness and health, you would be the only hosting company for me.
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that those days of bliss have come to an end, never to return again. My heart insists, “We can work it out!” but my brain knows that after three business days, multiple electronic service requests, and countless hours spent calling your help line, only to hear busy signals time and time again, our harmonious life together is nothing but a distant, painful memory. Empty promises do not a Web host make.
In retrospect, I suppose I should have seen the signs long ago. This was certainly not the first time you were unavailable when I needed you most. As far back as three years ago, I can remember the restless nights alone…your all-too-convenient excuses for being unreachable when I called your name…your half-hearted attempts to make me happy, except when a payment or renewal was due. Like so many others, I was blinded by a false hope…a treacherous hope that a Web host that appeared too good to be true was not.
Well you are too good to be true, NameSecure. I used to think you were different, but now I know you’re as fickle as all those other bargain hosts out there, promising anything to have your way with a kind and honest Web developer like myself. And I’ve had enough.
On behalf of Web developers everywhere, I’m taking my business elsewhere…to a host that will appreciate me for who I am, even when times are rough…to a host that will be there for me through thick and thin…to a host that truly is all of the things you claim to be, but are not.
I write this, our final communication, without even the slightest pang of regret, for I know that if this note reaches but one other developer who might otherwise have fallen victim to your treacherous ways, my heartache will not have been for naught.
So long, NameSecure. May your days be filled with cancellations and loneliness!
Your victim no longer,
Mr. Unhappy
Ryan Smith 12-09-2005, 12:22 PM I have 2 domains from namesecure... and i think they are great.
madatlife 11-17-2006, 10:05 AM They have no support at all!
