I've received these e-mail messages myself and have simply just deleted them. I always wanted to believe that nobody was foolish enough to actually send their bank account or personal information to someone claiming they will be given millions of dollars in return. People, however, are gullible and want to believe anything.

Take a look at the article at the below URL. Even though I've heard of this before, I learned a few things reading this article about the way these criminals run this scam. I never knew they actually would setup meetings and eventually kill some of the people they scammed.

Yeah, I've had a few of these. It's Hard to believe that so many people fall for it.

People with the smallest amount of common sense will figure it to be too good to be true, but some others seem to have a little switch in their heads that flicks on when they suddenly think they can be on easy street for the rest of their lives.

This scam has been doing on for decades, and it's quite sophisticated in some areas. Part of those meetings are about stand-over tactics so once they get a bite from the e-mail or letter they don't like to let go.

People should remember their ain't no such thing as a free lunch :)

What surprised me the most is not so much that people fall for these scams but for the article I read, a lawyer actually had sent nearly $400,000 before asking questions.

Someone here posted a topic about people need to be given a "sign" when they do something stupid letting everyone else know that they are an idiot. I say this period needs that sign.
